GREEN ZEBRA CAFE

Was excited to find a place with healthy options after reading the great reviews. The food is pricey, and the service wasn't the greatest. Loved my BLT - it was delicious! Smoothie and coffee was okay. Some of the kids menu items were not available the day we visited. The biggest issue was we were turned off by the conditions of the very visible kitchen. Lots of dirty plates stacked up beside the washroom / in other parts of the restaurant. It was unappetizing to see after the fact considering how much we paid, and didn't seem the most sanitary. Maybe we visited on an off day?

I'm all about healthy food but unfortunately the food here was only meh... the smoothie had no flavor, my partner's raw burrito was sooooo tiny (and pricey), the iced coffee was just not good. The woman in front of us walked out with an iced tea instead of the coffee she ordered and came back in confused as to what they had given her. The young 20-somethings behind the counter didn't seem to understand what good customer service is. If this place made some changes to their food and service I might be interested in coming back as it seems like the only healthy place in the area, but for now I won't be returning. Update: I’ve since learned that the downtown location is much better with food quality and service and is actually excellent, so I frequent that location often. I don’t go to this one.

OVERPRICED, GREASY FOOD, BAD SERVICE Why does it take 15 minutes to make a $17 sandwich when there's no-one in the restaurant? Why is the food greasy? Why am I wasting more time writing this review?!
