Service: 7/10 Cauliflower wings: 9/10 Orange tofu: 3/10 "Hostess" cupcake: 7/10 Peanut butter dream cupcake: 7/10 Cauliflower steak: 6/10 Charita bowl: 5/10 Kale salad side: 10/10 Kalelupas: 7/10 I love restaurants that emphasize an environmentally sustainable, cruelty-free vegan/vegetarian lifestyle. Too bad the menu here isn't 100% vegan - but all items are vegetarian, and some that are not vegan have vegan options. Interesting to learn that the same company owns both Green Vegetarian Cuisine and Earth Burger. There's a broad selection of menu items, which is good. Too bad breakfast isn't available all day. I would like more healthy menu items, but it is good that there are several healthy choices. The acoustics don't seem great - the room is pretty echoey. But it's not a bad little restaurant. The cauliflower wings (I neglected to take a photo) are excellent, the best I've ever had. Highly recommended - as long as you don't mind eating something deep fried. Not the healthiest choice. The orange tofu was highly disappointing. The tofu, broccoli and slaw were all quite bland and flavorless. I asked for more orange sauce, hoping that would fix it. That didn't add any flavor, but just made it extremely salty. At least it's a halfway healthy choice (although I think the tofu is fried?) - perhaps it would be more enjoyable with getting some other sauce on the side. The hostess cupcake wasn't bad. Not great, but as good as a typical snack cake from a store shelf. Props for making a convincing baked good that's completely vegan. The peanut butter dream cupcake, similarly, wasn't bad. Not amazing, but not bad. I especially liked the filling in the center. The charita bowl's main claim to fame is that the restaurant donates a few cents for charity for each bowl. I wish they took a different approach - like donating a percentage of all profits or prompting for a donation at check out. The charita bowl has a broad spectrum of healthy ingredients, which is great. Unfortunately, it's essentially flavorless and uninteresting. I was morbidly curious about the cauliflower steak. Fortunately, my expectations were low. There is absolutely nothing steak-like about it at all. Let's be real: it's a thick slice of a head of cauliflower, flavored with miso and roasted. It doesn't taste bad, not at all! But it's not a steak. It rightly belongs as a side in a slightly smaller size, or as an appetizer in a larger size, cut into florets. But it makes no sense to make it an entree, especially since the entire dish has no protein. (Side note: the kale salad side is quite good.) On a recommendation from a friend, I tried the kalelupas. Not bad! Having essentially an entire kale salad on each corn tortilla made eating it a messy, complicated affair. The salad tasted good - and sweet. I suspect they put a significant amount of sugar in it, which would make it a less healthy option. But still, not bad, and at least the refried beans add a hint of protein.

Love the vegan options here. If you want vegetarian they have some but trust me, the vegan food is all amazing. I take non vegans here frequently and they live the food. Staff are awesome

Green is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I have ever been to. The owner is a great gent that cares about his customers and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Definitely a staple in the vegetarian community Vegetarian options: All vegetarian!

I've been coming here for years since they had been at their location at the Pearl. The food was so good especially the breakfast. Since they moved to the Quarry I feel like the quality has gone down a lot. I got the tofu heights scramble and it was very runny and just okay. The hash browns are just tater tots which was kind of disappointing. The lunch and dinner options are way better but overall the food just isn't as good anymore. Coming from someone who has been vegan for 8 years, its sad having less and less actually GOOD restaurants here in San Antonio. Vegetarian options: whole place is vegetarian and vegan options are always offered which is nice.

This was my guest time going to a Veritas restaurant. I figured the food would be good, and it was. I had a meatless chick'n fried cutlet that was very good, and my brother liked his burger. The salads also looked good. They had huge Texas-sized cinnamon rolls, which are one of the first things you see walking in the door. I regret not getting one for later on the way out. Vegetarian options: I think I mentioned above, but this place is a vegetarian restaurant. And I thought the food was very good.

1st time trying Vegetarian Cuisine, we tried the trip sampler. The cauliflower wings were delicious with Buffalo sauce, fried onion rings, and fried asparagus were great additions, too. Everyone at my party tried something new, we all enjoyed our meals. Even got to try out the cupcakes, yum. If you're in the area, please come out and try something new. Add a new dish to your palette. I'm usually still hungry when eating out, but this was very filling.

Very disappointed Green used to be so delicious. From the location to the food it's not good. So I ordered hash browns they gave me tater tots....totu was burned. Sweet potato pancakes tasted nothing like sweet potatoes. Definitely do not recommend. Owner should have stayed at the Pearl.

I don’t eat meat anymore, I’ve been cooking a lot a vegetarian dishes. My husband thought I’d be nice to take me to a veggie restaurant. Food was just okay. Quite honestly though, I don’t think I’ll be back.
