How does a restaurant specializing in grilled cheese sandwiches send this to a customer? None of the cheese is melted. It’s literally still in the square slice shape. My order was delayed by about 15 minutes so you’d think they were taking their time cooking everything. Fries are good but you only get one ketchup and I believe the ketchup is house-made because it has an overpowering cinnamon taste. Overall poor experience especially because it was raining and we were really craving grilled cheese sandwiches.
Wow. Had to grab a bite in a hurry. Wasn't expecting much and got plenty. Avocado bacon grilled cheese with tomato and lettuce. Crispy on the outside melty cheese on the inside. Bacon is crispy great balance of flavors and some sort of a chili sauce. Pickle on the side. Worth every penny. Service is friendly. Clean environment inside and you can also eats outside on the patio. Highly recommend Parking: This is a busy strip mall. Good luck!
Great grilled cheese sandwiches
The food was mediocre. We ordered the Philly cheese steak and it was tasty but I didn’t like how little protein there was and how it was all in the middle of the sandwich so by the time you’re closer to the edge it was just bread. Also got the belly Mac and cheese and I like the favor but again barely any protein. I got the tomato soup and I didn’t like how it was on the tangy side.
Visiting from phoenix, but saw this place right next to our hotel and we had to try. I got the Lobster Grilled Cheese. Wait was around 10-15 minutes (well worth it). The food itself was great. Plenty of cheese, sourdough bread, lobster was good, and the Chipotle Aioli was an amazing addition. A bit on the expensive side, ($18 for a sandwich and drink), but I suspect that’s normal for this area. Place was a bit small but it was clean and comfy.
Such good food and very friendly staff!!
Drove all the way from Imperial Beach just to try it again! So Good!
