Grandpa’s Kitchen Grill - Bar 168

The portion size is generous, and the presentation is impeccable. It’s similar to the infamous “Bo Ne” in Vietnam. Highly recommend trying this place.

Saturday 3/2/24 Dinner at Grandpa’s Kitchen Grill - Bar 168 in Garden Grove with my cousin. Enjoying fusion Vietnamese foods. Ordered many dishes. Foods taste moderate, not authentic Vietnamese spices and not traditional Vietnamese dishes. Over pricing of menu items. The tables are too small when we order many dishes to try; not enough spaces for all the dishes we ordered. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast

This is the best dry noodle I’ve had in OC. I had the Grandpa’s dry noodle. The sauce under the noodle is very yummy. They gave a separate soup bowl and the server told me to not pour it over the noodle but just use some to sprinkle over. It’s really good. The first two special menu was very delicious. The filet mignon is very tender. The sauce is very unique. The last one on the special was not my favorite. I haven’t had pennyworts for a long time but they sell it here. Great spot for family vibes.

Big portion but food is mediocre. What really bothered us was that they brought out the steak first and we had to wait another 20 minutes for the banh mi to come, by then the steak is already cold. No apology from the server. Bad experience overall.

I would have given this place five stars, but portions of some dishes or appetizers are way too small to even be considered appetizer appropriate. Overall, tasty with aromatic dishes that appeal to the hunger motivated to engulf the variety menu.
