This is the second time I have eaten at the Grand Lux Café while visiting my daughter at Long Island University. We love this restaurant. They know how to do things right. The first time we ate here we ate outside on the patio. We received five star service, even our pooch enjoyed a bowl of water that our server provided while we enjoyed the afternoon sun and our delicious food. This time we dined indoors on steaks and Thai chicken and we noticed the friendly staff as they were coming on for their shift were all greeting each other with hugs. Our server, Gio, was personable and efficient. You don’t find a restaurant today like this one. Luckily, their menu is extensive enough that I think I could just eat here all of the time on my visits. Way to go Luxe Café you’re knocking it out of the park! Wish we had one in my hometown.
I've been to this place a few times now. I travel an hour because I really love their egg Benedict dishes. I just wish they'd learn to cook an egg. It's always a hard yolk. The only time it wasn't was when the manager came over, and it was mentioned by a table mate who knew the manager that the egg was overdone. I got my replacement eggs perfect then LOL
Very nice place, wonderful food and service.
The atmosphere was nice and quiet (lunch time). Food was good,!
