Good Nice

Visited this weekend for my husbands 40th. Absolutely superb food, the asparagus and cod dishes were gorgeous! Lovely wine flight and a really well thought out non alcoholic drink paring as well which was a really refreshing touch. Staff were great. Had to visit the bakery after trying the bread with our meal! Definitely want to go back

Amazing atmosphere great staff good food

Although we have experienced a lot of tasting menus (degustation menus) at high end restaurants this was our first Michelin star experience and we could tell the difference. Superb. For a Michelin starred degustation it was cheaper than many high end NON Michelin starred restaurants back home. This type of meal is exactly the experience that we have been looking to have but have been unable to find unless we're paying a lot more. I think we had 13-15 plates. All of them provided something new to experience - even the bread made on site. We noted the note which indicated that every plate would come with a brief explanation but we could ask more questions if we wanted - so we did. We took the opportunity to chat with chef David, his wife and staff about the food and about themselves. For us we were lucky that it was a quiet night and so we felt spoilt to have such attentive interactions with everyone. We especially loved asking about where the food was sourced and learning why they chose those local suppliers. we probably asked a little too much information because we are both animal lovers and eaters of animals -so here's the quandary.... we loved that the animals had lived full lives and not simply bred to be eaten and you can tell that you are eating quality produce on the plate, but then we felt like we were eating our pet. So, maybe don't ask too many questions if you're like us. As people who do not drink alcohol we found that our drinks waiter was a little without purpose in serving us only waters on such a quiet night. he had obvious passion and enthusiasm so we asked him for 2 or 3 non alcoholic drinks to be paired with the dishes that he felt would be most important to experience a paired drink with. He did not disappoint. The drinks were thoughtful and refined. For the dessert plate he had formulated a drink that almost tasted like the dessert - it was amazing and special. we asked about the drinks and the stories of creation and this added to our experience. We hope to be back one day. This was a very special experience and by far our best dining experience ever.

We stayed at Grace and Savour for a special occasion, and it was incredible! The service was impeccable by all the staff, including a warm welcome by Anette and tasting meal with head chef David. The decor is stunning, with such high quality materials used, with a lovely relaxed feel to it. We immediately felt welcomed and at ease. We loved the welcome drink and snack, and little touches in the room, which are so thoughtfully considered. The tasting menu was absolutely incredible, each dish a complete delight and perfect portion sizes. The team during dinner were all so attentive; we were very lucky to be sat at the chefs table, which was amazing to see the care that goes into the food. Breakfast delivered to the room the next day was again delicious, with lovely local produce used. I so hope we can visit again as we had the most amazing time and will carry fond memories of our stay here.
