Been a judge at several rib fests / Contests so understand bbq is very much personal taste. These guys are ok but no where near as good as their 4.7 star rating. Ribs 4+ were good but very lightly smoke, brisket 4- was dry, pulled pork 2- they threw me a ton of fat, jalapeños sausage 2- was unique but no where near $6.95 / link. Beans & slaw & sauces were average. Nothing remarkable. Place is ok for a chain but not in the league with the top places in Colorado.
This is the second time in two months the Dry Rub Wings have been overcooked. I like GCue’s food very much, but the wings were almost burnt on the outside and dry on the inside. We enjoyed a side of the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and that was delicious, as always.
I appreciated the cashier explanation for the wait for the table, although nice just not very personable. The food came out quickly, the Mac and cheese was subpar, the coleslaw was dry, the brisket was cool and not hot. The link was dry and semi hard. The ribs were good but not as expected for a place that claims to be champion BBQ. Manage your expectations. My first time here and quite possibly the last.
