Amazing stuff and places

I used to really like this place, until today. I had a long day and hadn't eaten anything and my sugar felt low. It was about 3pm. I had bought a sandwich at a deli nearby and decided to stop by gossip coffee to get a hot chocolate while I killed some time. I grabbed my hot chocolate, I find a seat and get myself comfortable. I start eating my sandwich (which by the way was delicious) and sipping on my mediocre hot chocolate, which tasted like spoiled milk. Maybe 5 minutes into eating my sandwich, the person who works there is patrolling the cafe and then stops at my table to tell me that I can't eat my sandwich there because it's "outside food" and that they sell food there. WHAT?! That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. It's not like i was promoting the deli inside of the cafe. A girl is just trying to eat, quietly! To my knowledge, the last time I had been there they only had pastries and even if i was aware they sold food I would not have interested in purchasing it. What if i just want coffee/tea/hot chocolate from there? The food doesn't sound as appetizing and approaching a paying customer about something like that is poor taste and poor customer service. I was so upset!! I simply wrapped up my sandwich, gathered my things and left somewhere to finish my sandwich peacefully. I won't be coming here again and I'll gladly take my business to a cafe where they don't have this type of policy which I find ridiculous.

Best LOCALLY roasted coffee made by the best baristas always for the past few years!!!! Alex is the man. Great bites too and spacious to work from home!!!!!!

Good drinks and baked goods, but prices are insane. Paid $11 for chai latte and a small bottle of water

Owner was very rude in the way he told new guests that they couldn't sit down anywhere until they purchased something, and for some reason one table was specifically for those who purchased food. Also definitely not a work cafe; poor wifi, worked maybe 20% of the time I was here and had to use a hotspot

We've been coming to this place for 3 years now. We're always in search of neighborhood places and locals to support. We walk from Sunnyside for 30 minutes just to be able to enjoy the delicious pastries they have! The scones, spinach pies (very obviously that hand-rolled), cookies, and delicious coffee with the friendly staff/owners! They bake on the premises which makes all the difference. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Love the ambiance, the overnight oats were filling and delicious. The americano was delicious! Service was great too!

Crazy that chain coffee shops have a better chai recipe than this place, and they're always playing club music. I can see people covering their ears as they sit here and try to work.

Ambiance is great, ordered a flat white barista made a latte. Asked him to remake it correctly he refused. Asked for a refund, he refused. The decor is cute, the service is terrible.
