Food was delicious. Staff was amazing. Here's the thing. We had multiple glasses with lipstick on them. And none of us wear lipstick. Also 2 of our friends ordered medium well and well done burgers. They got almost rare. So maybe step up your cleanliness and your temp checking in the kitchen
Parking: It's market common, just park anywhere
Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids in the dining room.
The place is not what it used to be. The burrata with roasted tomatoes was ice cold twice. Stale bread. We were not alone in sending our food back. At least four other tables were having similar experiences. This after the Alzheimer's Walk, and you would think they would be on their best game. While they clearly were not overwhelmed with guests, it was a steady stream of folks. Our waitress was doing her best, but she was no match for the ineptitude in the kitchen. The ladies room was in dire need of two plumbers. That's not to say management wasn't aware , in fact they had a sign up that said they were aware and it was being fixed. The Plumber's name must have been Casper, you know like the ghost. If this family ever returns it will be because management has finally responded to two emails and reviews of a negative nature.
Had a great lunch. Unfortunately, my card got left behind, so I called the restaurant to see if they had it, but no one answered the phone. And then went there in person. The rude receptionist in the front asked me my name, and what kind of card it was, and then disappeared in the back for what seem like 10 minutes came back and then asked me if I had ID. If she wanted to see my ID she should’ve asked me that right when I came in the door or she could’ve told me that if anyone answered the phone when I called instead I was inconvenienced to go back to the restaurant twice to get a card that was obviously mine. Then Jenny, the manager came out and pretended to be concerned. Unfortunately, she wasn’t so I will not be going back as it cost me a great deal of grief and inconvenience to support the restaurant. There’s plenty of other good restaurants in Market Commons I can support. Hope you guys have a splendid day.
Love this place and Candice is the bartender/server to ask for.
Surprised how good the food was. Hawaiian pizza with jalapeños - never thought those two together would be such a hit. Also, had their glazed pork chop, amazing…. Over an inch thick, seasoned well (w/ a little heat - yum), perfectly cooked. One chop can serve 2 people!
Next time we’re in Myrtle Beach will will revisit.
The burgers are as solid as I remember what really blew me away were the garlic Parm fries!!!! Go get some
Overall, meh. The soft pretzel was delicious. The burger was flavorless. This place seems like they have an identity crisis. Name of a pub, atmosphere of a sports bar, odd sorta fancy menu.
We always enjoy GB. Good food...good service.
We were exploring Common Market in Myrtle Beach with the dogs and stopped in for a quick bite. They had a great outdoor patio that was pet friendly. We tried the Buffalo and Cajun rub wings which were awesome!! Our server was great and will come back again on our next trip to SC
Gordon Biersch simply hasn't been able to get it together since the pandemic. Multiple types of food and beers were listed on the menu but were either not in stock or are no longer available--not the first time we've had this experience here. They have also reduced the variety of the menu, pivoting towards unremarkable mainstream American food that one can get at Applebees or other junky chains. No thank you.
