Service is pretty choppy at the bar and seating. Takes a while for someone to notice ya.
Have been here many times. Beers are renowned. Food is quite good. Service is unfortunately shoddy, decent at best to rather poor. Drink at home.
Ok. Everyone knows goose island ipa. But there is much more here, great beer list full of interesting and short run things. They had the full 2023 bourbon county line up on this visit.
Great food, great vibe, great beer. Definitely we will be back.
Beers were excellent, and they had all the Black Friday releases available. Ruben sandwich was excellent. Helpful and friendly staff. So sad that this location is closing this December.
Everyone will review the excellent beer. I’m here to tell you that they bring a glass container of water when you sit down. It’s a nice touch and not something I take for granted.
A perfect place to hang out with some good brews and good vibes. The bartender Adan is really fun and friendly and I'll come back just for his service and company!... Too bad this location is closing :( I ordered exclusively the award winning stout/porters and they were all great. Banana Foster: Get!! This is the best one and puts all the other ones to shame drinking side by side. Just so perfectly smooth, sweet, full bodied, and treats you right. It'll make you go for another round with no regret....except that it definitely packs a wallop ABV-wise so... maybe you will regret it lolol. Service: Hit and miss I came 40 minutes before closing and talked to someone at the bar. It was the bar back or bus boy because he seemed speechless and lost and continued cleaning/mopping. Eventually found Adan and my night changed for the better from there haha. Adan was so amazing and energetic. Appreciate him for such a great night
Came here on my 21st birthday. Today is my 46th. Same bartender both times. Adan is an amazing person and he actually remembered me. You CAN'T get that kind of service nowadays. Also his *special" beer was my favorite of this, my last visit to the "OG" location. Including the prop 14 they had. Just my opinion. Agree or not, I don't care. Can't wait to see the new place!
We had a few brewerys on the todo list for this Chicago trip and we timed lunch with some cheese curds and burgers at Goose Island the last day. To this we had a flight of IPAs that were as tasty as we expected. The burgers were absolutely excellent as well so if you're in the market for some burgers and beers this place is not a bad choice.
This was our first time here. We did the tour and stayed afterwards for a few beers and some appetizers. Fun place, enchanting atmosphere. We hope to go back when they move to their new location.
