Every time I’m back in my hometown I head over to good luck dim sum. For the price you can’t beat their Bao, Har gow, Shumai , etc, Service is your typical cantonese charm… none Interior is dreary but you aint here for the atmosphere You line up and fill out the pink order sheet…. Me I piss them off and just order in my broken cantonese Highly recommended Xie Xie
Counter service dim sum, seat yourself. Cash only. Very much so a “no frills” type place. The pork bun was a little sweet for my liking, but everything else was good. Dirt cheap prices, everything pictures was less than $20
Super cheap food. Shrimp dumplings were just OK.. Soy sauce had a strange sweetness to it. I dont understand how this place has such good ratings.
Buns barely had meat in them. flavor was aight but not great. People working aren't very nice. Its sub par dim sum. I wouldn't eat here twice.
Really enjoyed the ham sui goc (fried gluttonous rice dumplings). The texture variety of the crunchy exterior and soft and squishy interior, combined with the sweet and salty filling was awesome. Also enjoyed the chive and pork dumplings. Otherwise, also had the sui mai, har gao, and baked BBQ pork bun. All were decent or good.
I used to live in the inner rich for 10 years and good luck dim sum is my go to! I still come back to enjoy the great prices and consistent quality dim sum ! My fav is the shrimp dumplings (har gow)
Stopped by for a quick bite as part of our drive North to Healdsburg. There was a line at the door but it went quickly. I actually had to decide what I wanted to order on the fly because I got to the front of the line too quickly. We ordered shrimp dumplings, shrimp and chive dumplings, sui mai, turnip cake, and dried shrimp rice noodles. I would get the dumplings and sui mah again. I was mixed in the turnip cake. The dried shrimp rice noodles were ok....the spread of onion and dried shrimp was a little uneven, so there were bites that were just rice noodle. It was also a bit too dense for me. Very reasonable pricing though. We got a box full of food for $19.90. Cash only. There are a few tables inside where you can sit down to eat after ordering your food at the counter. There's also a bathroom available.
