I am obsessed with this place. I’ve tried so many croissants here and I’m always blown away. I haven’t found another croissant in Chicago that compares to the ones here. The coffee is some of the best in Chicago. The ambience is so cute too. In the back you can watch them make chocolate. I met the manager here and she is so sweet and gave me all the Chicago recommendations I haven’t tried. I’ll be spending so much of my time here For more coffee reviews following my Instagram: Audrey.Pulliam
Cute cafe with a lovely ambience and the most delicious pastries! Everything we ordered was amazing. Highly recommend
The double chocolate crossiants sound good I can complement them all day long and coffee is righteous too!!
Great baked goods, but the HQ of Mondelez is like 75% of the space and is roped off Tuesday-friday 11-1. During that time good ambler’s 2 big tables and 3 little ones feel crowded if there are more than like 8 people (always). If you are trying to get work done T-F I’d say pick somewhere else.
Pastries are just amazing!
Pastries are good but they kept saying they couldn’t warm them up. They have a huge kitchen across the room and not crowded. Also, customers will definitely be ok to take their food to kitchen. Other thing that bothers me about Good Amber is their 11 am.-1 pm. Rule. Never seen a huge crowd coming for the lunch break but they are pushing available customers aside to keep that designated area empty. Maybe it is just me idk. :)
Good Ambler is a very busy coffee shop. The drinks, treats, and food are all great! I've never purchased anything at Good Ambler that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I strongly recommend the chocolate croissant! My favorite drink is the London Fog. With that said, the prices are a bit on the expensive side. I don't believe the prices match up with what you're getting. It might just be the area though. If you're looking for a place to work, you will most likely be waiting a while for an open seat. Every time I have visited Good Ambler I've had to wait a long time for a table/seat. I would never come here with more than one person for that reason. The music they play is always great and never too loud. I often find myself using Shazam to add songs to my Spotify.
