Really neat chocolate shop right in the heart of downtown. You can create your own Googoo cluster and watch them make it right in front of you.
We visited solely to make our own clusters and it was such a cool experience! We got to use the kiosk to customize our clusters and then watch the girls behind the glass make them for us! There was not much of a wait at all, And the clusters are super good! Staff were all super friendly! It was a super cool experience for kids!! Parking: Not we did visit on St Patrick’s Day so Broadway was packed, but parking was pretty difficult for us. We had to street park several blocks away and walk to GooGoo. There are some parking garages around but it was hard for us to find anything while we were driving through heavy traffic. Kid-friendliness: It was super kid friendly and kid oriented. They do have some truffles that are based on adult beverages but the clusters are super great for kids!
No real help at counter, had to flag someone to checkout. Bonbons are mediocre
Have fun designing your own chocolate creation and then watch the workers make it for you. There's also a class you can take to make them yourself but you gotta sign up for that early.
Morgan was awesome! Made our Goo Goo class so much fun!!
A long time ago, I went to a Nashville Sounds game and got a free Goo Goo chocolate thing as part of a baseball promotion. It was 2015 actually. The game also featured celebratory July 4th fireworks upon completion, but someone forgot to check with a local meteorologist or "carry the 1" and part of the fireworks rained down into the crowd upon explosion. It wasn't exactly a "Godzilla through Tokyo" moment as everyone remained calm while running from superheated chunks of descending patriotism. My son was a first grader and he still remembers it now as a high schooler. I don't think anyone needed a skin graft and was later perfectly capable of safely enjoying some historic Tennessee chocolate. If you read this and were there that night, I hope you read it with a smile. Good to see the Goo Goo Chocolate Co still going strong. "Goo Goo Chocolate..... the Official Chocolate of Your Nashville Sounds.
Very cool place. Awesome place to make your own style of goo goo clusters, but the original is not what it used to be.
