NY Chinatown is a lot to take in. Coming from out of town, it's hard to decide where to eat. This restaurant is one of the more spacious ones I've walked past. I was a bit worried because mostly foreigners were eating here. Later, the large table next to us was taken by a Chinese family having a celebration, so I felt better. :-) We had the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling), the Shanghai Steamed dumpling, and the Beef Pancake. Portions were smaller than what I'm used to for the price, but hey this is NYC. The XLB was pretty good. The steamed dumpling was average. The pancake on the Beef pancake was literally a crispy flaked scallion pancake, and the sauce was tasty. But sadly some of the beef was grisly and tough. Overall, the food was good and authentic. Some reviews blasted this place for unethical service charges. But I did not witness this. We were just a party of 2. My son went to the bathroom, said it was clean enough. But the person before did number 2 and did not flush. I don't know what to make of that. As can't blame the restaurant for that?

Absolutely horrible, we got paper cups instead of glass ones, our table still had sauce stains from the previous guests and the waiters were so unfriendly and they rushed us. The food was not good at all and for the price it was even worse. The restrooms are soooo dirty and the plates are also dirty. Tipping is absolutely ridiculous $23 ?!!!! For the awful service that we got is absurd. I would give 0 stars but I can’t so it gets 1 star. Really horrible experience 100% would NOT recommend

We have lunch without seeing the reviews, worst mistake ever. The service was awful and very rude staff, food was raw and uncooked, the worst part is that they dons ask u for tip, they just charge u 20% without asking, I’ve living in New York for couple years and no single place have charge me 20% without asking me, lady in the front was the only one who was giving a good service and explain everything but everything else was terrible.

Me and two of my friends went in for lunch. The place was busy but it was not like there was a line out the door or a long wait time to be seated. The waiter came over and we ordered didn’t write anything down, one of my colleagues wanted regular fried rice and he kept asking like what kind of fried rice so to avoid any issues he ordered pork fried rice with chicken and broccoli. The waiter brings back the pork fried rice with beef and broccoli instead. Another one of my friends ordered sesame chicken and it was ok wasn’t the best. I ordered lo mein and it was horrible! We definitely did not enjoy our experience here and for those items it came up to $75! There are other better Chinese restaurants in the area so don’t bother to come if you’re looking to get some good Chinese food and they don’t even serve chicken wings. Also no fortune cookies were given at the end of the meal.

Picked randomly amongst the dozens restaurants in Chinatown, it turned out to be a good pick. The atmosphere is nice, the food was good, lunch special -hot vegetable soup, chicken with curry and broccoli, served with rice and hot sour sauce, and spring rolls. The service was prompt and efficient, not many big smiles but I personally don't care about that. Very fair prices and American Express accepted with no problem. Thumbs up

This place didn’t even have a google review page when I went last year. Which is a huge red flag but I didn’t know that until AFTER my nightmare of an experience here. It was April 20th, 2023. I was celebrating my 20th birthday by ordering something I’ve never had before. JELLYFISH. Because I figured I made it this far in life, what else could possibly go wrong? I WAS IN FOR THE TIME OF MY LIFE. It was an appetizer, but it looked like the dry skin you scrape off of the bottom of your feet. It was cold, rotten smelling and so disgusting I forced myself to eat it to not dishearten the already lifeless staff. Even though everything in me was telling me to stop. Every crunch made my skin crawl. It was so revolting I had to push it away and didn’t finish the plate. WHICH I NEVER DO unless it’s something as rotted as this was. Fast forward to me in a bookstore later that night, my stomach starts bubbling like crazy. I started sweating bullets. I ran as fast as I could to the nearest trash can outside the store because I knew what that meant. I projectile vomited so hard I was choking on the chunks coming out of my throat. I proceeded to throw up AGAIN in the train station THREE TIMES while an entire train of people were walking past me. It wasn’t embarrassing, because I knew that my body was doing the right thing by rejecting the literal rat poison I PAID FOR. I then had diarrhea for about a month after that day. I was sick. I was pale in the face. I got food poising from eating here. DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE. RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN.
