It’s not like it used to be before the Covid and now it’s lost there taste of the food! The table was not closed well and besides two other people waiting on door dash to deliver we were seated by the window. I ordered fry shrimp that was tiny and not the larger ones and over cooked, bbq ribs were very dry, egg drop soup had no flavor, the other dishes weren’t really tasty at all and I was very disappointed with the food that I didn’t want to eat but packed up the food and paid close to $100. I will never return to this place and I don’t recommend this place

Honestly ever since this place got bought out and the previous owner retired, it's garbage!!!! The food is horrible and has no flavor. The portions are so much smaller and everything tastes just awful. This place used to be a hidden gem in Oxnard and now it's just a giant disappointment. The only good thing I took away from this is I learned how to make egg drop soup since they don't even have eggs in theirs. Honestly, if you want good Chinese food, this isn't the place anymore. Avoid it. The only thing good here is the young lady serving because she's on top of everything. If only her service could fix the food... We used to come here as a family all the time and now... it's not even worth the space it's occupying.

I haven't been in quite a while, at least a couple years. I went yesterday to get the Chicken Foo Young I always loved---it is NOTHING like it used to be. No egg at all, no bean sprouts-- just 2 doughy pasty flat fried dumplings where you used to get 3 patties full of veggies in a lovely gravy. Was told it changed ownership last year. I WON'T be going back, what a disappointment!

I wish the company would change the name. The new owners have completely changed the original recipes. The one we've all known and love for decades. They no longer have combo meals. Everything you order has to be by el a carte. And it gets insanely expensive. 75 dollars for ordering 4 items to share with a family of 3. God I'm gonna miss golden chicken inns yummy eggrolls they use to make. The egg flower soup was okay but too much pepper, made it taste spicy. The crunchy noodles for our soup was stale. Given water with no ice. Their sweet and sour pork are no longer those little soft breaded balls. But I do admit it was still pretty good. Just different Their Pork fried rice was pretty great. Just different Their green beans was pretty good! And their beef chow fun was great as well. Over all, the food was pretty good, but too expensive to be spending 11 to 16 dollars a plate to share. Also the service was absolutely horrendous. Our waiter, some young woman with black hair had zero personality. She aggressively tossed our menus on our table and walked away. Took a while for her to come back and when she walks in she just stares at you and doesn't say anything. Even everytime we said thank you, she never responds. When we paid she didnt thank us for coming in. Didnt say goodbye or have a good day. Just rude and didn't make us feel welcomed at all. She looked like she was dead inside and hated her job. For that reason alone we probably won't come back, food was good tho not gonna lie. Good service is everything and if you don't got it, it makes you not wanna go back. Maybe we'll order take out lol. One day.

I actually thought this little hole in the wall joint may have been a hidden gem walking in on my way to pick up a delivery order. But after sitting up there for over 20 minutes waiting for the food, with only one other table of two in the entire place, my hopes and dreams were dashed. I don’t think they even started my order until after I arrived and no one communicated with me about how long it was going to take. I was sadly disappointed and after that experience I won’t be trying this place.
