Golden Chef

Excellent food, I'm surprised that the ratings are so low. The staff was very kind and the portions were large. I would definitely recommend getting the mu shi.

After moving to Roxbury, I struggled to find a local Chinese food place that had great fried rice, as they were all plain or not great tasting. Along came Golden Chef's flyer in my mailbox and it all changed for the better. Chinese food is my guilty pleasure, and I order it almost on a weekly basis. I have been ordering delivery from Golden Chef for about 3 years now. So much so that their driver will wonder what's going on if I go too long without ordering. (no shame) In any case, they've recently decided to switch to doordash delivery only, and not having their own delivery option. Not only does this remove their free menu options, but the extra cost tacked on the food, and the ridiculous delivery fees they charge increase the costs by over 50%, which is unjustifiable. I will continue to get food here once in a while when I have the time to pick up the food as I enjoy it so much, but it won't be anywhere near as often, and I may just go back to picking stuff up in Chinatown which was excellent, but much less convenient.

The shrimp fried rice was really good. Staff was super sweet and friendly. Would recommend!

My family ordered 3 meals takeout. We were surprised at just how much food there was, the portions are huge. We love asian food and we were quite happy with our food. The mu sho was delicious. I don't understand the bad reviews, we thought it was great.

I ordered the General Gso Chicken lunch combo with vegetable lo mein. I was very disappointed in how bland and old the food tasted along with how raw the broccoli was. Also, the duck sauce had an eye lash floating around in the sauce. This was by far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tasted.

I just took an order from there but they didn’t give the drinks and when I call back the lady on the phone was rude

I've been ordering here for 3 years. Today, we were missing an order of beef teriyaki and gyoza. This woman straight up accused me of lying about it. NEVER AGAIN.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this Chinese takeout is. The pineapple fried rice was so good and the scallion pancakes were delicious. Definitely my new go-to takeout place in Dot.
