The food is excellent. The ingredients are high end, you pay a little more for it, and it’s well worth it. The pizzas, pastas and salads are top notch. Joshua and Heidi run a tight ship, the service is great, and I’m very happy they are here. This review is based on two visits. Give it a shot, you’ll love it.
Terrible value, mediocre food, rude hosts. Beware that it's widely thought among Kenwood locals that this restaurant has their friends and Yelp elites they provide "perks" to writing 5-star, outstanding reviews to pump up their ratings.
Mu Ramen Burger ❤️(please bring back the ramen)
Same guys that brought you Animo… but with a broader menu and more approachable price points. And ALL of the creativity and talent. The pasta took me back to Rome. The salads were delectable and hearty. Bring your appetite though. Even the entrees that don’t say “for two”, are definitely for two. lol I have no idea which of the Gods they stole their pizza crust from, but you’d better get in there and taste it before they get caught. I hope this place is here for a long time.
Over priced, mediocre food and very small portions.
The best restaurant in all of Sonoma county. The food and service are truly top notch and the ambiance and staff are fabulous. Heidy and Joshua have created a magnificent dining experience and they make you feel like you are part of their family. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Three of us had a delightful delicious dinner last night! All the waitpeople were very friendly and answered any questions we had. So many items on the menu we wanted to try and we ordered a lot! Starting with a nice bottle of J sparkling wine. We shared the raw oysters, mushroom medley pizza, tuna crudo, followed by the chopped salads and a Chrysanthemum Caesar salad. Our entrees were the special sea bass, Caccio e Pepe, & Steak Frites. Lastly we shared the Animo Burnt Cheesecake. Yes we did have some left overs to take home. We had a fun time having an exemplary evening of extraordinary food. We shall return!
The food was decent and presented nicely. However the dishes were uninspiring and my $42 chicken dish desperately needed salt. It was void of flavor. The pasta was cooked well but also lacked any distinct flavors and was boring. For the price of two simple small salads plus a pasta & a chicken dish, the price paid made the restaurant experience underwhelming. We both agreed it was not worth going back. If I am going to spend $160 for a dinner for two then I want to feel like there were wow flavors from the meal. Santa Rosa has several outstanding restaurants to spend money on when eating out. This would not be one on that list.
