Was told by many to a must when visiting Chicago. I do have to say that I was. It didn’t disappointed! Food was fantastic and service was awesome. Our waitress was knowledgable in the menu and was able to provide recommendations based on dietary needs. It was a busy night but never did I feel we were not taken care of. I will for sure return when I visit Chicago next time.

This is a no duh! Place is amazing!!! Service, atmosphere and food are all on point. Go now, order 1 of everything (pig face and goat liver for sure), sit back and enjoy some cocktails. It's a tough reso for a reason folks.

Our food was incredible. We ended up ordering 4 itemsfor 2 people and it was plenty. The most surprising standout was the green beans. They were extremely flavourful, but still tasted like a vegetable. The skirt steak was excellent, but quite spicy. We also had the naan and the empenadas. I'm looking forward to going back in the spring when, I'm assuming, they'll opdate the menu for the season.

So you're skimming the reviews and wondering if Girl & The Goat is really that good... You can stop right now. IT. IS. THAT. GOOD. Think back to those reviews and take that in. These are mind blowing plates that can make it the restaurant experience of a lifetime. More than that though, the entire experience is great. The waiters are very interested in making the meal an enjoyable one. They're there to help when if you want recommendations for dishes that go well together. They'll help ensure that your small plates pair well when they serve them up and make sure you get them in a timely manner. The environment is noisy, but not too much where your can't hear everyone at your table. It can get louder at some of the tables that are pushed closer together. Of course, you should know by now that they serve small plates. If you invite a bunch of people it's best to decide on items to share together. That way you can try more of their amazing dishes. Did I mention this place is awesome?

We had an excellent experience here this week. The food is eclectic & interesting without being unapproachable. My favorites were the pig face, goat belly confit, the hamachi crudo & the green beans. Service at the bar was fair. The atmosphere was excellent. The lighting is perfect & the music was at just the right volume to create a vibe without being overbearing for conversation. We will definitely return!

I came here awhile back when they used to have the goat leg that would feed a group of people. I don’t think they have that anymore since I haven’t seen it in any recent pictures or on the menu. So, aside from that goat leg, many of the other dishes were tiny portions. If you’re sharing with a group of 4, it’s almost like one bite each. We tried roasted pig face and confit goat belly. Overpriced for sure even though the dishes we had were scrumptious. The restaurant itself is dark and they had a good amount of seating. Service was great. I would recommend coming here if you’re in a group of 4 or more, that way you can try different dishes and split the expensive bill. I’ll include a picture of the goat leg which is now ancient.

We participated in the New Year’s Eve pre fixe experience. The food was delicious. However, the service was shockingly disappointing. Our server was rushed and uninterested, appearing outwardly annoyed when we were not ready to order our drinks within 5 minutes of sitting down. The menu consisted of 6 courses, I believe. Again, these were all very delicious, but just extremely rushed. After about 1 hr and 15 minutes, our server dropped off our check. When we asked to order another round of drinks, he told us that our table was reserved for another party in 15 minutes and that they had “600 customers to get through” that night. We asked to speak to a manager. We explained that we paid a substantial amount of money upfront expecting a calm, laid-back dining experience with family during the holidays. Most importantly, we were not forewarned there was a less then even a 2 hour time limit. She was also not very empathetic or remorseful, and offered a round of drinks with bar seating on the house, which did not really address the principle of the matter. The whole thing felt like one big assembly line of customers generating income for the restaurant, and while they served good food, did not seem remotely interested in their diners’ experience.
