Been frequenting this wonderful restaurant for years. Never disappoints...the atmosphere is that of Italy. It's a lit'l escape from the daily grind. Do yourself a favor and experience the greatness of this quaint Italian restaurant. Menu isn't extensive...but who cares when everything offered is delightful. Parking: After 6pm on streets parking is free and there are plenty of low priced parking close to the Girasole's
It’s HARD to find food this good in Pittsburgh. We had the polpette, pasta e fagioli soup, cocoa fettuccine, and spinach and ricotta ravioli. I’d order everything again 100 times over. So so so so so good and such a cute little spot. Great place for a date. Only $80 for the two of us (no alcohol) and we left STUFFED and with leftovers Parking: If you show up early you might be able to get a spot on the street. I wouldn’t try and park here on a weekend. Wheelchair accessibility: None. The restaurant is at the bottom of some stairs.
Absolutely amazing! The food and service are excellent. Mostly, they treat you like family. Top favorite place in Pittsburgh.
I was visiting from out of town. This is the best italian restaurant I have ever been too. Mussels were on special as an appetizer. Best Mussels I have ever had, the sauce had a little spicy and I could not stop dipping my bread in the sauce. Everyone in our group that went there said it was fabulous.
Girasole is mine and husbands favorite Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh! They have incredible food, service and such a great environment for dinner
I've been here 10+ times and will not come back due to the chaotic and poorly managed reservation system. For a restaurant with such limited seating, it is incredibly lazy to not maintain a policy on the website explaining that you can call ahead to "reserve" seating. This creates a situation where people cut in and out of the line, pushing past people in confined spaces who don't know what's going on. People in the line start asking "hey why'd that guy cut you but not me etc.", and the customers end up managing that process and explaining to each new person why/how other people are cutting in the line. Food's okay. You can get similar quality at several places in Pittsburgh, and get seated in an orderly process.
