Gingergrass Silverlake

Infamously bad food that most locals shun. not sure why this place is still open except to serve the gentrified crowds of silver lake who don’t know better. I feel bad saying this because it’s a cute spot with friendly service but that cant make up for a watery pho and bland mains! Bahn mi is probably your best option.

Seating is a little close but it has a nice cozy vibe and the salmon plate was delicious, had a lot of flavor and a good serving size.

I've never had such a bland pho broth in my entire life. It tasted more like water than broth, and completely did not have any of the richness of the beef or complexity of spices (if they even used any). The beef was also cut too thick and there was only one variety of cut. The pork chop rice plate came completely cold as well.
