Pho Ginger

I have ordered hot and sour soup from Ginger for many years. When I moved to Etobicoke, I continued to come in to Church Street as other Ginger locations were not as tasty. On Monday, instead of buying 4 large take outs, I bought only two, coming to something over $36. I am 69 and reliant on a wheelchair. Coming back home, I had an accident coming out of Royal York subway station needing a hospital visit and 5 stitches. On my way to recovery, I decided to have a treat of one of my soups. Turns out, they are grilled chicken and not boiled chicken, as requested. Staff had put the soups into a bag and hung it onto the handles of my wheelchair, so I did not check there at Ginger. Though I never thought grilled would taste good (hence the reason for always buying boiled, I tried the grilled and for my taste, it is awful. I can't spend hours traveling to try and return the purchase. But this is expensive for me and I wondered what might be able to be done. At least, please refund the cost of one soup. quiet restaurant. Service alright. had to get up to get our sauces, chop sticks, and water. They forgot bean sprouts on our phos..but gave us a huge plate after I got up to ask.

The food and service are amazing. 2 stars for atmosphere because when I left, my clothes smelled like the food they were preparing. Horrible ventilation, it's kind of smokey/haze-like.

The food here is usually great, rarely is something not good. We got the coconut shrimp & chicken soup and the pho with beef (rare) and some salad roles! They are also one of the few spots to carry Jumex (a delicious Mexican juice brand). Prices are reasonable and the location is pretty spacious with a good amount of seating and a good view towards the street. Service could be a little friendlier overall.

I'm there twice weekly at least. Fresh and clean and the quality of food is delicious

Lots of space to connect with friends. It was not busy. The sandwhich i ordered tasted ok but it was very small. The filling was not great.
