This was easily the best dining experience I've ever had in Atlanta, and I've been to most of the great restaurants in and around the city. My daughter and I booked the Georgia Boy for a nice evening out. I already had high expectations given what I had previously read online, but to say that Georgia Boy exceeded those expectations would be an understatement. It's not just a meal, it's not just a chef's table, it's an incredible dining experience. The food was off the charts in terms of creativity, presentation and taste, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere and the way they set up the entire experience was magical. Chef Joey Ward and his team have created something special at Georgia Boy, and I can't recommend it enough...and now I'm looking forward to going back soon with my wife!

Such a fun experience! And it is definitely an EXPERIENCE. My husband and I went and we ended up dining with three other couples. It was such a amazing 3-hour experience with fun interesting people. AKA we all like to eat. I really enjoyed the wine pairing! It was excellent. But they also had an amazing alcohol-free pairing. And plenty of other options too... there is no pressure or pretense. I could go on and on. Make a night of it! We live in Athens, so we got a hotel in the area so that we didn't have to drive back and could fully enjoy the experience. It was just so flippin' delicious, creative, and surprising! Dietary restrictions: I had no restrictions, but a couple people at our table had some restrictions including dairy allergies and food preferences. Georgia Boy went above and beyond to make sure everyone got the same experience. Our food all looked the same and yet their preferences were accommodated. I think that is so impressive!!!

After loving Southern Belle, I was excited to try Georgia Boy but unfortunately it fell short for me. I love what they are trying to do, making fine dining fun, but I wonder if that mission may have taken priority over the flavors themselves and making delicious food. There were a few dishes where you can see the potential here, including one brilliant play on pancakes and bacon, a delicious and interesting pre-dessert sorbet, and an unexpected tartare curry flavor combination. However, there were also a lot of misses flavor-wise. The main desserts in particular were unpalatable on the night we went. Similarly, I liked the idea of the experience / atmosphere but the execution felt ultimately lackluster. I have been to a number of chef’s counter / kitchen seating types of places and loved them. You can watch the cooks at work, sometimes interact with them, and there is a sense of theater. In contrast, the kitchen here didn’t feel like a kitchen at all. It didn’t seem like there was hardly any cooking going on. For each dish, it felt like there were a couple of responsible people assembling mostly premade items onto a plate while a groups of other cooks / service staff were mostly standing around waiting. It felt awkward and was almost entirely devoid of any sense of excitement or action coming from the kitchen that I had expected. Given the other glowing reviews here, it’s certainly possible we were unlucky and went on an off night. However, for the price point, it’s not a risk I would take again personally.

This place is an experience - fine dining meets whimsical speakeasy. We’ve done tasting menus all over Atlanta at all the big names and this one was our favorite. I have never seen such fun and creative dishes. From bacon cotton candy to the best scallop I’ve ever had, this dinner was the best. Hannah provided amazing service and Jet’s wine knowledge and pairing was impressive to say the least. The night was full of fun surprises. Chef Joey is leading something truly special here. Can’t wait to come back.

Georgia Boy is the real deal when it comes to fine dining in Atlanta. This is the only place in the city that I've found to really push the limits of taste through experimental concepts that are creative, thoughtful, and playful. Maybe not your everyday, casual dining experience, but I would absolutely recommend giving it a try next time you're celebrating a special occasion.

They have two separate restaurants inside of one restaurant confusing I know, but Georgia boy in southern belle. We ate at the southern belle, which is located in the front of the restaurant. Georgia boy is, however, in the back. It was nice the staff were great The menu… we had the lobster pappardelle/Vietnamese style, chicken, and waffles brain GA short rib oohh boy it was all good, But the beef short rib oh God melts in your mouth. It was excellent. The drinks rocksteady and old town Road. Both good drinks.

It's a great experience, but for the price I feel I've had better tastings.

This is the best and most creative restaurant in Atlanta. The food is incredible and complex, while also making you feel like a kid again… bacon cotton candy, hose water flavored shaved ice in the summer, licking cake batter from a mixer. Truly an experience.
