If you're on a quest for the quintessential Philly cheesesteak, look no further than Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia. This iconic spot isn't just a restaurant; it's a landmark, a pilgrimage site for those who worship at the altar of melted cheese and thinly sliced ribeye.
A Philadelphia must! Cheesesteaks are good but make sure you bring cash - no cards accepted.
Sooo Geno’s staff was soooo nice (they gave us geno pens) and helpful in choosing a sandwich, seeing that it was our first time there in philly….we got the pizza, regular cheese whiz, and meatball subs….they were all good but i feel a little seasoning would have made them more tasty…..But I Recommend Geno’s
A good cheese steak but not the best that you can get in Philadelphia! The place is definitely eye catching, great service from the staff, it’s worth stopping at least once to try and say you’ve been there!
This was my first time outside of the airport in Philly. Multiple people told I just had to go to Genos for the best Philly cheese steak in town. I hopped in an Uber and headed that way. I ordered my sandwich to include a drink and fries. The young lady told me I had to order the drink and fries at the next window? Really it’s 20 feet away? Can I pay for them here? No! The call my name and hand me the cheese steak I sat down at one of the picnic tables outside. This seems a little weird to me, do people actually come here and eat in the winter? On to the cheese steak. It was super dry no condiments, apparently you have to ask for them. I’ve had better cheese steaks from Subway. FYI, it’s a cash only business and it’s not nice part of town.
I don’t usually leave low reviews but the food there is way over hyped. I ordered the regular steak and cheese and it was flavorless.
