Genki Sushi

Every time I go to Hawaii, I make it a point to go to Genki Sushi. This last time I took my family and they had a blast! Food is always fresh and tasty! We don't get fresh fish where we live so we ate a lot. My 10 year old daughter put away over 20 salmon rolls by herself! Vegetarian options: They have rolls with veggies Parking: It's in a Safeway shopping area. There is parking if you are patient enough to find it Kid-friendliness: My kiddo loves the bullet train! Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and wheelchair accessible

Good sushi.

It was ok. The ones in Japan are way better

Genki is always a hit, even though prices are pretty high now. Of the plates we tried, the Ultimate Trio was by far the best. The sauce on the nigiris is really good. The rest of the plates were fine. They have a lot of interesting looking rolls, but most of them are just riffs on California rolls or shrimp tempura rolls. Service was ok.

Best nigiri I have ever had on island. They are literally like biting into butter, and the price is solid.

First and foremost, the service was great. The atmosphere was really nice for Christmas time and the decorations were very appealing. The food is decent and great for the price. However, I have been to every Genki Sushi on the island, and this is by far the most conservative on the portions in terms of fish. The spicy tuna bowl had far less fish than the Ala Moana location, for example. This is only one of the many dishes I had experienced here, and the difference in quantity for the same price was concerning for me. Keep in mind this was only for fish dishes, which is strange, so one of the locations has to be wrong. If you want a fish dish, I would recommend driving to Ala moana.
