Literally I come here once a week, And they have removed the one thing I loved was the potatos from the menu, Not sure how hard it would have been to keep them, Now the base is also on the bar, So that will just fill it up more, This is my last trip to this location. Very sad.
I literally never leave reviews anywhere, but recommend staying away from this place! Random pregnancy craving gone wrong, lol. Floors/tables were extremely sticky. Employees were not working together as a team and were acting as if the customers were an inconvenience. Waited nearly 30 minutes to just have our orders taken (including drinks), just for any employee to come to our table complaining of someone not wanting to take ownership of tables. We couldn’t even go to the bathroom without going in there any overhearing one of them talk badly about an employee named “Stacey”. Not to mention when we got there, there were only 8 tables (half were already served food) and not really that busy. I would completely understand if they were short staffed, but from our perspective at the time, they weren’t. At the very end, we had to ask for a to-go container three times, just to never receive it 20 minutes later, and left. What should have been a “quick ish” 45 minute dinner turned into a 2 hour thing.
I typically don't like leaving reviews, especially poor ones. But the service here was so exceptionally bad it warrants telling people to save their money. We stood at the front counter for easily ten minutes despite there being no one eating there, it took forever for someone to come by and grab our order, and even when they did there was arguing and confusion between the servers between who was supposed to be serving us. Our server was inattentive the entire time, spending more time complaining and piddling about at the counter than working. It took a different server to notice we were low on our drinks. Asked three times for to-go boxes before finally asking the person at the to-go counter for them. Food was good. Always is. No problems with the guy on grill. He's a baller. Still not worth the irritation coming here. If you like listening to servers complain, bicker, and argue while out on the floor, sure. Not me though.
Today is my 2nd time in here in the last year or so. And for the 2nd time, I've been here 20 minutes.... and no one has attempted to wait on me. There is one other customer in the restaurant.
This was our first experience at Genghis Grill, and to say we were dissatisfied would be an understatement. Upon receiving our bowls, it became evident that an excess of salt overwhelmed the taste. After just one bite, I refrained from consuming any more of my bowl, and my friend encountered the same issue. My husband, who opted for a build-your-own bowl, did manage to finish his, prompting uncertainty about potential variations in preparation methods. The most glaring issue, however, pertained to the state of the bathrooms. A pervasive and unpleasant odor permeated the air, and our friend reported unclean conditions in the men's restroom. Unfortunately, my experience in the women's restroom was no different, with a foul smell and scattered toilet paper on the floor. The smell had a chemical scent to it. So I would assume it was the "cleaning" products used in the spaces. In terms of service, our waitress was courteous, albeit rushed. Considering the apparent shortage of staff and her responsibility for numerous tables, I harbor no grievances towards her. Regrettably, the overall dining experience did not align with the hefty price tag of over $80 for three people. The subpar food quality, coupled with unsatisfactory cleanliness, left much to be desired. Additionally, the booths exhibited signs of wear and tear with cracking leather, and several lights were out, contributing to a dim and disheartening ambiance within the restaurant. For us, this initial encounter with Genghis Grill will undoubtedly be our last.
they kept us waiting for about 20 minutes and didn't show us the menu.
