Gen Korean BBQ House

Tried this place out with family for the first time, at least for me, expecting to have a good time and it wasn’t. I’m just going to list it for you; our waitress took ages to come greet us, grill was never turned on (had to go and tell them to do it) waitress was very rude and spoke to us as if we were a bother, our sides never came after we ordered, rice was cold and took forever to have new HOT rice to arrive, our drinks got to the table after our first meats arrived and still had no sides or grill on. After about 20-30 mins of this I asked to have our waitress changed and was told that could not happen as everyone was assigned tables. Never received any apology from management or complimentary anything to make the moment right. We were never told why our food took too long to arrive. (ZERO communication and food ran out too) I understand it’s a weekend, I get you’re busy but if you’re too busy to handle your tables ASK your coworkers for help instead of being rude and nasty and ignoring your customers. We missed out on so many dishes because of the wasted time just waiting to eat. If you want a nice family experience save yourself the trouble and try some place else. Safe to say we won’t be back again.

Food was mediocre but what really made the experience awful was the service. We were seated and the server said she would be back in five minutes. 20 minutes later I am scrambling to find someone to simply take our order. They were also out of so many dishes, I didn’t even know kbbq places ran out of meat like that but leave it up to gen to disappoint you. The atmosphere was giving cheap nightclub. Never coming back.

$29.95 for AYCE and $19.95 for AYCE, with takeout options available. I highly recommend the Samgyubsal, Bulgogi, Chadol, and Woo Beasal. The servers made sure that our grill was always clean and replaced it as needed.

Unbelievably the service was excellent. One girl was serving an entire section by herself because almost all the staff had called out. Guess people were too hung over to do their job because of New Years. This girl held it together and did an amazing job helping everyone.

Got food poisoning, currently on day 3 of being sick…

I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Delivery issues caused half of the menu selection to not be available, and their cooked pork ribs were cold on the inside. I cooked in on the grill not only to heat it up, but to make sure I don’t get food poisoning. Unfortunately I will not be going there again. Very nice ambience, lacking in food quality and choices. Tab was expensive for what we got.

This restaurant was so understaffed. It wasn't even funny. We just went down always to California kitchen and had a great lunch.
