Really good udon broth. Good mix of vegetables and Udon where the noodles are not overwhelming the soup.
Ordered spicy ramen and it was just shin microwave ramen. I have the same noodles at home :/
The audacity for this restaurant to sell spicy ramen noodles, but actually serving instant shin ramen noodles for nearly $10. Not only is this a big scam, but it's completely unethical to be charging that much to broke students for a dish they most likely already have in their pantry that cost a few bucks for a pack of 6. This place needs to be transparent in it's selling practices and note it on the menu that these are instant noodles. These people don't deserve a tip for this if all they're doing is boil water. If you read the other comments, you'll see the same complaints about this tactic. Shame on this establishment for not being transparent. If you're craving restaurant quality ramen, take your business elsewhere because this place does not have it.
They use incredibly excessive plastic packaging. They even still use styrofoam. The food is okay.
Their Sukiyaki Bowl is pretty good and affordable.
Ordered tonkatsu ramen, came with half an egg, a few pieces of bamboo shoots out from a can, a few pieces of seaweed, and ONE slice of meat! Food served in plastic bowl.
The meal as a whole didn't match the expectation I got from the price. The breading on the chicken katsu wasn't as substantial as I had hoped. Everything else was good, though. The curry had the right consistency and spice level, the gyoza was crunchy and juice on the inside, and the rice was soft. The place is good, but not as good as the price leads it on to be.
When I finished my first job this morning, I went straight to my second job and ate at Gen Sushi. When I’m super hungry, I usually like my food 10x more, but I really did not like this one. If you would add more taste to the food, as other reviews have mentioned, that would be great. It just does not taste fresh nor delicious yet.
