Geist Bar + Restaurant

They taxed our entire bill at 24%. Ridiculous. When asked they simply said it’s not their fault.

We dined at Geist this past weekend. Food was good. Steaks were great but needed more seasoning. The chicken was very good - juicy and tender. Service from our wait staff was attentive. The covered patio was freezing. Even with gas heaters and table blankets these were insufficient to ward off the numbing cold. Our biggest gripe was front of house service. We had a reservation for 7pm. We arrived on time at 7pm but eventually were seated at 7:50. The table before had already finished their meal when we arrived but the front of house did nothing to manage the situation. I’m sure management can do better!

We were very excited to eat at Geist. The restaurant was vey busy, Saturday night. We waited one half an hour, only to be seated in the patio. It was cold, other guests declined to seat in a plain patio with no ambiance at all. We were the only guests out there. The food was mediocre at best. The drinks from the bar were very good. The bread was delicious and Dana our server was attentive. Parking: It cost 26 dollars to park. Not inexpensive given the mediocre food and dining in a covered with plastic patio

Good. Not great. Everything was just fine. For the price, I wouldn't go again. Staff was very nice. Food was, as I said, good. Not great. Did not live up to the hype. Atmosphere was not as romantic as expected. We were seated outside which felt like a cheap patio of a friends house to be perfectly honest. But the service was great. Just nothing else I'd call great.

Loved the food for Valentines day. Scallops were a big hit. Bathrooms need a lot of work. Toilets won't flush missing locks and handles.

They need to change their Google business hours. Says they are open late on Saturdays until 1am but walked in at 11:01pm and they said they are closed and laughed as we walked in. This is really business 101. Please adjust accordingly.
