Zero service, staff looked lost and didn’t know what they were doing despite a half empty dining room. No management presence on restaurant floor. Clearly trading on a tourist market in a faded version of its past.
Food was just all right, esp for the price. My filet mignon was over salted; they mixed up my plate with my son's and we didn't realize until we were almost done, which was a shame because we had them cooked to different temperatures. I recommend taking an uber to mid-city and going to Toups Meatery for a similar menu where the dishes are of higher quality and the preparation is more exciting.
Amazing dinner service, and our server Candace was awesome. We had a birthday in our party and the staff got the entire restaurant involved which I will never forget! My crab yvonne was disappointing- like they just threw crab and butter together and called it a day.
I observed the Male host (Joe) was unprofessional and discriminatory against the customers.
It pains me to give this review to Galatoire’s. We attended Friday lunch which is known as an institution in NOLA. This was my third time for the lunch. I was appalled by the conduct of guests there, particularly a very large group of women attending a bachelorette lunch. It was so loud and rowdy, it might as well have been a football game. Yelling and screaming all through lunch. Friday lunch is known to be festive, but this was over the top. My heart went out to staff for having to deal with this. We will not be doing Friday lunch again. If you wonder about the shape of our country right now, a trip to Friday lunch says a lot.
You’ve got to wear a jacket but there is a back room where you don’t need to wear a jacket. Food was top quality with lots to choose from. Fish, fish and more fish
The brunch was AMAZING!! I had the pan seared fresh redfish topped with crabmeat Yvonne which is sautéed lump crabmeat, artichoke bottoms, mushrooms, butter and lemon. YUM!! Dietary restrictions: My tolerance for spice is small to null. This was our waiter’s suggestion.
What an incredible experience!! A couple friends took me to this gem on Bourbon Street and may I say it did not disappoint. Everything was spectacular quality. I highly recommend the banana bread pudding because it is simply out of this world. If you’re new to the NOLA definitely snag a reservation here. It is pricey but if you have the budget to splurge definitely come here.
