Great sour beers, good selection

A little off the beaten path (but near other hidden gems like Peculiar and Horse and Dragon) Funkwerks is must on the Foco beer trail. They are known for their adventurous beers, outstanding Belgian style brews, saisons and sours. Funky with a capital F and amazing for it.

Good beer, good people but…. I’ve left messages about kegs without any response. And have called a dozen other times with no answers over the past several weeks. We are 40 miles away so stopping by isn’t a thing. On to the next brewery…

With more than 25 craft breweries all in northern Colorado and specifically Fort Collins, Funkwerks Hass to be at the top portion of the list. A small taproom brewery that goes perfectly with the small time feel of Fort Collins. In addition to the tap room with seats at the bar and a few tables. There is also a very large outdoor patio, as well as a small stage for live music in the spring and summer. The beer flows like the rivers of Capistrano with multiple types of beer and flavors. They always have a rotation of beers on tap and some unique bruise and flavors. My favorite combination is mixing the Tropic king and the pineapple sour. You won’t find this brewery along the beaten path in old town because it’s Tucktaway in a very convenient location right off of Highway 14 and on the outskirts of old town Fort Collins, Colorado. Whether you’re visiting or you live here this is a must stop brewery to pop in and have a beer or two. They also have decent parking and bike racks to lock up your bike. They also sell really cool hats, T-shirts, hoodies and more in Funkwerks Schwag.

Small place but the beer is great! I ordered a flight and loved it all, not to overbearing yet satisfying. Charlotte was a fantastic beertender and my Dad and I enjoyed chilling here for an hour. Deceit was or favorite which is a double IPA. Well thought out brew for sure. See you all next time!

Just a wonderful place. People who love good beer and love talking about and sharing the experience with you. The best collection of sours I have ever scene and their Saison is utterly world class.

I was there on Sunday, Charlotte was the absolute best! She sampled me the Raspberry & talked all about her favorite sours! Loved all her recommendations! Me & my dog will definitely be coming back
