It was okay, the fish seemed fresh but I wasn’t a fan. The miso soup was too salty. The fried oysters were not great. The sushi rolls are not worth returning for. I feel like they were trying too hard with different ingredients and different sauces, but for me it didn’t work. But the server was great and they were all friendly.

Yakitori was great. Unagi eel was absolutely amazing. I asked for the secret dessert menu and it was ube tiramisu. It was so good and also came in a large amount! I don’t recommend king salmon tho. It was overall a great experience!

Everything, incl skewers, tofu, dessert, was super good until we were charged much higher for the grilled collar. It was $15 on the special menu but end up being $22 on the check. There’s no prior communication and the staff told us the price on the menu was wrong. The collar was almost the best we had in the states and we have no doubt that everything behind the collar deserves a great value of respect. However, the experience wasn’t that good and hope they can fix their menu asap.

My wife and I are kind of snobby about food and this place is delightful. I will say the sauce on the grilled octopus skewer was a little too salty, but overall, very satisfying. We ordered the spicy tofu, karrage, the skewer sampler, the fried oysters, and 3pc sushi sampler. The char on the skewers was delicious and aromatic. The tofu was well balanced, the oysters fresh, and the karrage juicy. We finished it off with the ube tiramisu, oh my god. If they have it, order it. The service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean.

We sat at the bar in front of the cooks. Everything that came out was divine. We started with sake cocktails & the ILY so matcha was my absolute favorite, but all bar drinks we had were perfect. The batter on the fried squid tentacles was soo good. We shared the pasta with sea urchin cream sauce & it tastes better than it looks ( & it looks amazing) !! The sushi was so fresh, best I’ve had in the city so far. It was a perfect dinner for our anniversary ❤️

Yellowtail collar is very worth it! Love what we ordered..I mean all of them

One of my favorites and easily my favorite Japanese Restaurant in Austin. Food and Cocktails are great. If the tuna or salmon collar is available, it is a must have. Sit in front of the cooks if possible.
