My experience on Feb 2024 Dinner. 1. Parking place is so damage and the floor is full of cracks and pot hole, so the property doesn't feel welcoming 2. Very strange smell when you enter the building, likely it is caused by many years of cooking but certainly doesn't feel good. 3. Our table service person asked me if I have Groupon so that she can enter the code in her system, just to figure out if I'm a groupon holder, unfortunately I didn't know the intension of the ask at that moment [she didn't ask other party who sat next to us on same table] , she asked because I called the restaurant and verified about groupon usage before get to the restaurant. 4. I purchased 4 person groupon [not kids menu], for 2 kids and 2 adults the food portion they offered for my kids way low and for us lower than other guests who didn't use Groupon. [Be warned do not tell them you have Groupon, if you want to try even after seeing this review.] 5. The food was less than average, I really surprised that there were many customer says the food is great, I guess may be they like lot of sodium aka salt in their food, the amount of sodium via a magic powder [that was the chef called, I believe it was mix of dry onion, garlic and salt ], and soy sauce is way high, be warned if you have Blood pressure situation. My spouse, kids and I all had effect next day morning [so I started writing this review]. 6. Our primary reason to go Hibachi restaurant was my son got excited watching a youtube video and wanted to go, at the same time I saw this restaurant in Groupon alert, it was a very bad call to drive that far. There is one Hibachi Restaurant closer to me who doesn't offer Groupon but the price are average to shell out. 6. Unfortunately none of the chef knows tricks/shows during dine time and it was very upsetting, only think my kids did awww was the fire. [If you and your kids like to see shows, this is not the place], there are other customer reported this already. 7. Cost of dinner for an average person is $26 which is way high for the ambience, portion and taste of the food. Fast food restaurant Panda express would have made my kids feel way better than this experience and it would have cost me almost 1/3 Price. 8. Even though be paid for adult food they reduced portion of our food, if I do restaurant business similar to this, I won't care who sits on the table if they order Dinner portion I do serve same level irrespective of who is eating I don't care whether they finish or throw them, for me they paid for it!! Pros: Because of the groupon we paid little money than the full price. Note: I did notice in the restaurant that they offer 25% off for dinner, do not know if that is applicable for current dinning or for future. Cons: I wanted to write something here but I don't know what, may be the fire that made my kids feel wow?
This place was great I only gave 4 star for food due to some rice being hard but overall very great place I took my 7yrs for her birthday & she loved it!
Needs to be updated. The food was ok. The place had a very weird smell.
Try another day. Stood front hostess totally ignored us. Had reservation at 5PM. Pungent smell at front desk
This place was a family favorite growing up. And, recently went back for a visit and had to come back here. Now, the place does look a bit dated, but that doesn’t matter since their food and customer service is awesome! We were in town for a not so happy family event, and we wanted to come here for comfort food to lift our spirits. We ended up coming pretty late and closer to closing, but the staff still had great energy and didn’t make us feel rushed or anything. Our waitress was so attentive that she could tell we were all a bit down due to our unfortunate event in our family, and she was so sweet and sympathetic and took such GREAT care of us. Our chef was also super friendly, fun, and gave us a great experience. We will definitely be back on our next visit back to Ohio!
This was my kids' first time going here. They loved the two fire displays. I was hoping for more of a show but didn't get one. Our chef wasn't very talkative outside of asking us about our food, but he was mannerable. Our waitress was nice. Overall, it was a very laid-back atmosphere. My only suggestion is the seating. It's just was too tight. There was barely enough room to sit our cups, plates, etc. It's just too crowded. I could see 4-6 ppl, but not 8 on each side. The shrimp appetizer is 3 pieces of shrimp. Salad is the size of a cat bowl, a very small 4 inch diameter bowl , and water in the bottom. The soup was good but is just broth with a few mushroom pieces. Portions were ok for the price. I don't think fried rice should be extra though. No to go cups. We used a Groupon which saved us the price of a meal and a drink.
