Awesome shop. Think about those Japanese grocery stores that have a ready to eat hot food area as a store which is just dedicated for only that as well as some other goodies. Would recommend checking this place out if you like bento style dishes.
I got the okonomiyaki deluxe which was pretty good, a tiny bit heavy on the mayo/sauce, but didn't make it less enjoyable, plus there are a million other things to choose from here so I would definitely come back to try some others.
very friendly staff. food quality is good for value.
Amazing place to get premade lunch/dinner boxes. My wife and I are from Japan so we sometimes miss Japanese food and we really appreciate this store! The family chirashi dish (pictured on the photo) for $36 is a super good deal and was very tasty!
Love this place. I wish I lived closer
Bento boxes are pretty good. Onigiri is cheaper next door at clover bakery. Good food at an honest price, not more you can ask for!
4 stars dropped to 2 2-star: visit of 11/09/2023 : the portions have drastically been reduced. The okonomiyaki only fits like 60% of the to-go container and is thin. The Salmon sashimi has been sliced much thinner now. 4-star (never got around to leaving the original 4-star review) : This was my go-to place for Deluxe okonomiyaki and salmon sashimi box. I visited at least four separate occasions and always grabbed deluxe okonomiyaki, salmon box, and various other meals. The okonomiyaki is THICCK and has delicious toppings -- all have been great. Salmon sashimi also THICK, like 1/2 thick slices of sashimi with good variety of fatty pieces, rice is always soft and perfect as well, real good portion of tobiko/masago.
This place has a lot of interesting and unique hot and cold Japanese food and they are surprisingly good. It’s a market, not restaurant. They always ran out of their stuff fast, so I would recommend come before lunch time to get all other stuff. The staffs are nice and helpful.
This place helped me learn how to eat okonomiyaki. When I bought the pork okonomiyaki, it tasted like I was having soft bacon and crispy hashbrowns. It was so savory and hot, yet it made my mouth drool. However, this experience helped me learn how to eat okonomiyaki in Osaka, Japan, in July 2023 because I was able to eat the real deal somewhere in a basement floor of Dotonbori Street.
