Front Road Cellars at Blueberry Hill

I have hosted numerous events here now. It is extremely affordable, clean, super cute and the staff are always extremely accommodating! Love this place!

Another delightful stop along the Toast the Coast trail, Front Road Cellars has great wine and cider and such a cozy tasting room. Sadly, some of their ciders had already sold out, so I'll be planning a visit earlier next year to not miss out. A warmer weather visit will also allow for outside sipping. We met the winery cat, a very friendly little one who spent much of our visit in my lap. The one cider I did have a chance to try was great. We'll definitely be back.

It wasn't very busy when we went there with our dog so we were a bit suspect (it turns out we got there close to closing time ) but wow this place is awesome? Melissa was such a great server and answered every question we asked her including some of the local product they used for there apps. I had the spicy blueberry margaritas and my wife had just a blueberry margaritas. They were awesome and price was good for this area and with the incredible tasting local produce in which we ordered Bruschetta and nachos and salsa. Bruschetta was good but the nachos and salsa.......OMG. lol We enjoyed it here more than the kiln Winery in which unfortunately it appears many of the staff think of it as more of a hang out than a business. I think the location maybe people think wineries are ending so they turn around when they're visiting turkey point but I definitely recommend this place so drive the extra few minutes

We booked a bachelorette brunch for this past weekend that was to include 3 tastings, a charcuterie, snacks and such. The good: beautiful location, shaded patio, the charcuterie was lovely, bridal bingo was fun, the server was very nice. They gave a lovely blueberry lemonade substitute for a guest who wasn't drinking. The bad: when we walked in there was no one in the front room and no signs of where to wait or where to go. We made our way into the bar/gift shop area and there was only one employee who was on the phone - when she was done the call we were brought to the patio. No other employees in sight until our server came out. Kinda odd for a Saturday but whatever. We tasted the first two wines and at one point our server came out and asked if we wanted a top of of one of the wines to which we said yes, thank you. Some of our group got the top up and others didn't. She came out when we were to be served our third wine and said because she gave us the top up that "counted as one of the tastings" so if we wanted to try the third (red) we would all have to pay for it. It was such an awkward conversation - we could tell she felt really bad and admitted she made a mistake and really didn't want to have this conversation. We declined out of principle and a desire to just move on. It was just such an icky interaction. I don't understand why it was even brought up to us... it was $3 a person, your business made a mistake, usually you just absorb the cost and accept its a part of running the business. It came across as very cheap/nickle and diming I personally am not a wine person but the people in our group who are said the cider and white were ok *UPDATE to their reply. I'm going to admit we may have missed signage and, again, we understand the employee was on the phone. Not that big of a deal. HOWEVER - the statement that WE asked for the top up is an outright lie. The employee walked up to the table and offered it with absolutely no prompting from us. We thought nothing of it. It wasn't until the last wine would have been served that she brought it up and opened with an apology, saying she had made a mistake and was very sorry and the only "alternative solution(s) for our group" was to either pay individually for the red wine tasting or just forgoe it entirely. For the sake of argument - let's say someone did ask for a top up - would the guests be told at that time that we wouldn't be able to taste the red without additional cost? Or just told after the fact like we were? The employee came right out and told us she had made a mistake by OFFERING the top up. Having said that, this was not a case of a large group asking for different things. I watched the whole interaction with my own eyes. I had given 2 stars but took away one due to your reply. I have worked in customer service my entire working life and defending your business is one thing, outright lying with passive aggressive "apologies" to cover your mistakes is another. I'll be sharing this response of yours with our party and will not be recommending your establishment to anyone.

Nice patio (loved the shade), building and ambiance. Woman server with red hair was friendly and efficient. Blueberry wine is good. We didn't favour the Front Road Ciderworks ciders. Our DD thoroughly enjoyed the blueberry lemonade with mint...a refreshing change from the warm tapwater often served in breweries. If I may make a suggestion, please write the names/ numbers on the flight samples.

We went to this winery for a bridal party and Jolee was absolutely amazing. Made us feel so welcome and did a fantastic job.
