This your standard hole-in-the-wall great ethnic food. Go for the tacos (the fish and steak tacos are to die for) but the nachos were only ok (cheese sauce was a bummer).
The tacos were very bottom of the barrel. Salsa picante wasn’t spicy enough. Prices were low but i would suggest spend a little more and go to the other taco spots in the area there’s so many better options.
Nice, easy place for quick tacos or cassadias. Good food
The hard shell tacos were huge! The chicken quesadillas were amazing with hot off the grill chicken breast meat. Beware, the green hot sauce is pretty hot... totally worth walking an extra block off the main drag to save 10 bucks for lunch. Only enough seating for about 12-14 people so you may need to take lunch back to the beach.
I thought I had Mexican food before, then I had this place. I then realized the places I ate before where basically Taco Bell.
Great food, great prices!
Friendly staff. Fresh ingredients. Great bang for the buck!
Decided to give this place second chance because of its convenience to my location but they were actually worse this time around. First off Yolima is rude and obviously has ZERO training on how to take orders and treat customers. Secondly I ordered 6 tacos Al Pastor and 3 steak tacos (the steak tacos are slightly more expensive) and they gave me chicken instead of steak and thought I wouldn’t notice. Seems as though because this time since I tried being more polite and speaking Spanish to them they cared less because I was a Spanish speaker. How sad to treat your own people this way. When my order was complete Yolima just looked at me and pointed at my order as if it was difficult to say that my order was ready. So I walk up to grab my order and she walks away without giving me the drinks I ordered so I had to get her attention and ask her for the drinks, in which she gave me attitude for asking. Then I also asked for some salsa since there wasn’t any in the bag already, and she rolled her eyes and gave me 3 little salsas for 9 tacos. Once I got back to where I’m staying and opened the boxes I realized that they ripped me off with the steak tacos but not only that they had given me a bag of tortilla chips and didn’t give me any salsa for that either since the salsa I asked for was barely enough for the tacos. Also their pork and chicken was extremely dry, served with one tortilla. Same with my previous experience there. At the actual location they are a VERY tiny place, I wouldn’t eat there. They also claim to have a “salsa bar” which they don’t. Also they play music so loud in there as if it were a night club and you can barely place your order or converse with anyone in person or on the phone. I will NEVER step foot in this place again. They lost a customer for life and I would recommend no one goes to this place unless you’re looking for dry meat and terrible service. Miami and Miami Beach have tons of other great Mexican restaurants, go there instead. Extremely disappointed. Plus I hate getting ripped off. Horrible way to run a business, especially on Miami Beach where they have the potential to be extremely successful.
