I go there weekly and this week, the womens by the rice serving area have bad manners. They gave me so many carrots on my order instead of the main veggies. Their respond was that the carrots are addons, which is a stupid respond because I am paying for it.
Used to come here often for their chopped roast meats hanging by . Place has became overcrowded due to accepting food stamps that their quality went downhill. Their meats are a hit or miss, sometimes too bland, sometimes too salty. The cha siew (roast pork) is chopped poorly, very thick slices and it’s dry and lacking flavor. The roast pig skin is not even crispy, they give you the scraps that no one wants (lower leg meat). Some parts are very lean and dry. The roast duck is lacking flavor, the skin is very rubbery and sometimes leaves mouth full of oil. They also sell bread in the back of restaurant. The bread does not look appealing, taste was ok but do not get the steam white ones in the fridge, those taste bad. Overall quality went downhill due to influx of customers and demand that they start making their food with minimum effort to keep up with demand.
Bad service. The employee gave me the wrong food. Don’t recommend it.
Though they don’t always understand English, the food is super fresh and delicious! I love how crunchy the bbq pig is! Definitely recommend that! The duck tends to be a bit salty, but it’s still so good! I always get the meat over rice w/ veggies (which is sautéed cabbage leaves)
Famous $7 lunch with choices of 3 different dishes and one cup of soup. Cantonese BBQ is very good too. Price is very reasonable. There is a bakery within.
Love getting their lunch special. 3 different choices over rice, $7!!. Lots of options, great flavor
