Frank's Grill

I guess we don’t get the hype. Our food was good but not great. Boring salad, but nice bread. Our entrees were fine but I believe this place is overhyped as the choices are fewer here in the keys. Just standard neighborhood Italian - but don’t come thinking it will be a memorable meal.

Frank's is my favorite restaurant in the Keys. I've been there 4 times over three years, and it just gets better. The staff are the BEST! Food spectacular. Wine pours are to the top of the glass for regular price. You gotta go. Just get a reservation. Parking: It's free.and plentiful.

Tried this neighbourhood gem but we were underwhelmed .To begin with there was a rotten tomato in the salad and mixed green would have stepped it up a notch , but the house dressing was delicious. I ordered eggplant Parmesan , it was done like a lasagna and was stringy and more cheese than eggplant. I guess I should have asked how it was prepared . Not a fan of the pasta being served separately in a bowl like a side dish . Our server kept forgetting he had an outside table , where you sit if you don’t have a reservation , but he was friendly. The tiramisu was very good.

I just came down to the keys for a fishing trip and as I was coming back to Isla Morada after a long day in Key West my father and I were looking for food. I searched up the closet Italian restaurant with the highest ratings and lo and behold Franks bar and grille came up. Having been born and raised in the Bronx it takes a lot for Italian food to impress me. Not only was the staff extremely kind, but the Frank and the kitchen staff made some of the best Italian wedding soup I ever tried. Even though we got the last cup it was filled with flavors of the beef meatballs and was seasoned impeccably. The grouper Frances was also amazing with the perfect balance of lemon and butter in the sauce. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is coming down to the Florida keys or those who currently reside here.

One of the best! Great Italian food, wine and service. Full menu that will satisfy every member of your dining party. Although the food is top-shelf, don't feel a need to dress-up, t-shirts and shorts are as prevalent as urban fashionistas!
