this was the best breakfast sandwich by far that I’ve had in Brooklyn.
Best place to eat a scrumptious breakfast sandwich and people watch on a weekend morning. Perfectly cooked Egg and cheese! Pastrami is salty and flavorful. They have other treats too like the babka. It does get pretty busy, so I would come early as possible
A ‘destination bagel joint’. There’s a fake-olde-worlde vibe but that doesn’t matter. A straightforward menu of bagel basics, a couple of twists, but unfailing quality. Bagels are in the Goldilocks zone - neither too big nor too small. Just right. Service is really friendly. There are bar stools and window seats for about a dozen people. Throughout is rapid and service is quick even for heated/toasted items. Worth a trip for - from midtown take the ferry to Greenpoint, walk to Frankels and reward yourself with a Turkey Reuben or a #1 and then walk through Williamsburg over the bridge back to the lower east side. Quality day.
Their cinnamon babka is sooo yummy
Wow one of the best bagel spots in town. Soft warm bagels with the perfect amount of ingredients inside. The marinated dill cucumbers were so refreshing.
A great place to get a thick, hand-cut pastrami sandwich. I came here after being put off by the 90 minute queue at Katz and I’m so glad I did. Really helpful staff too.
