Franciscan Crab Restaurant

First off the food was absolutely fantastic!! We had clam chowder in bread bowl and an extra 2lbs dungeness crab on the side. So fresh, so delicious. We ate there before and will eat there again. The prices are comparable to other restaurants in the are. Right on the water. They also provide binoculars so you can see Alcatraz and everything else. Now lets move on to the staff. They were friendly, classy and efficient! This is a classy and delicious restaurant!!

Amazing food, service and location. 10 stars. I go about 5 times a year during crab season. Me and a friend will eat a whole crab for 4 platter and be stuffed. As 2 large men we have to fight down the last peices and never leave hungry Parking: I drive a large truck I usually park a block or two up on the street to the east. There is a payed parking lot right there but it's a tight fit and usually full and pricey

Really enjoyed our experience. We went with our two daughters to eat their Dungeness Crab and it was delicious. Also ordered sizzling clams. The girls had a feast. Our server was kind, attentive and very hospitable. Will go again when in San Francisco.

Crab melt sandwich was dry and tasteless, 80% bread. Requested a replacement dish of fish and chips and waited over 30 minutes for the food to come out. Fish and chips was okay, but not the delicious flaky fish that you would expect. It was one giant piece of fish, fried pretty hard. Overpriced for the quality.

Second time visiting this place. Great food great service the only thing I recommend is to request a receipt after signing at the small card reader the waiter brings to the table if you are living the tip on cash, even though I told him I was living the tip on cash and I did left him 21/100 on cash of the entire bill he still charged extra 20/100 on our bill when we paid with the card and he never told us he wil charged.
