Our go to Dim-Sum place without needing to trek over to Great Neck and/or Flushing. The selection of dim sum dishes is smaller, but all the main staples are served. Typical Chinese place, not a lot of chitchat form the waiters but speedy and efficient serving and cleaning of the table. Price is up a bit since before pre-pandemic.
We have experienced this very authentic restaurant since it opened. Never disappoints.
went for the Chinese new year. Food was great. Service was great. The show was awesome. Highly recommend.
The restaurant service was awful (waiters plain ignored my table sometimes) and you had to hustle through a pushy crowd for a wait number (the wait was 30-45 mins) but the food was DELICIOUS and some of the best Dim Sum I've ever had. The prices were fair. Beware of ordering pick up, the woman who answers screw up the order every time, worse than a drive thru fast food place. Update: November 20,2019, a different lady picks up the phone for take out, she is great!!! Got my orders right every time!
In March 2023, the dim sums there are cheaper than those "The Orient" or "Orient Odyssey" by $0.2 to $0.5 approximately. And they taste almost as good as those in "The Orient". The "Preserved Pork and Egg Congee" as a mid-size dim-sum ($4.25) is about the best deal to me (though it's a small bowl). It has a few dim sums that "The Orient" may not have. I will go back again to try a few more dim sums ... Jan. 28, 2024: updated with the newest prices. Parking: Parking is convenient as the restaurant is in a big shopping plaza.
The food was overall just okay except for my main dish which I personally could not stand to eat I really really did not like it. I explained this to the server who refused to either take it off the bill or even replace it but instead offered half price (I only had a single bite). He argued with me for a few minutes and honestly it felt a little hostile. He told me it’s not a thing to take something off the bill. I disagreed, but didn’t feel like fighting with someone who wasn’t going to budge. Needless to say I would not return.
