Happy Hour here is awesome. Get a variety of pints at a great price and the various appetizers keeps it fresh. Good vibes all together and all types of seating. Check out their bathrooms. Quite the experience.
I went for an afternoon stroll with my husband and he picked this place. He had a seafood soup and I had the Dungeness crab roll. I think these dishes were some of the priciest ones in the menu so I was sad to see the Dungeness crab roll sitting there by itself with a side of lemon wedge. The roll was absolutely delicious. But really not even a side of locally sourced chips with the crab roll that cost $24? The seafood soup was also amazing and $24. I am not going to take away any stars for that because it is an establishment I would visit again. I love the food the ambiance and the service.
This place is super polished and obviously has a lot of money thrown at it, but that's about all it has going for it. No character or personality and the beer was meh. It's loud and messy inside, regardless of the expensive paper towels they stock the bathrooms with or the very trendy neon light signs they have on the walls.
As a frequenter of Dandelion Chocolate, I had been meaning to give Fort Point a try and was very impressed. Although the atmosphere is casual, it has a classy ambiance with soft mood lighting, beautiful neon lights, and soft touches throughout that give it a much more elegant feel than a typical brewery. We got a flight with the Super Dry Cider, Yuzu Radler, Westfalia, Villager, Lobos and Animal. All of the beers and ciders were fantastic, but I especially liked the Super Dry Cider (which was dry and crisp as advertised, the perfect crispness for my palate) and the Animal IPA (which was super fruity and quaffable). The next time I am in the Valencia area I will definitely be back again. Highly recommended if you are looking for a classy but casual place to kick pack and wet your palate.
Burger was recommended so I went out of my way. It was a big disappointment. I can see the vibe they’re going for (upscale but fast food style) but it didn’t have any flavor and they overcooked it. The fries were also meh. Spent $50+ for a burger and fries and would have been happier at In n Out or any of the great local bars in the Mission. Beer was fine.
Great beer! You can never really go wrong with fort point. Would recommend getting the citra park. This location is also a great place to hang out and have a beer with friends.
Cool spot and great hours for mid-day drinks before other spots on Valencia open up in the post-lunch / pre-evening hours!
I think David Attenborough was narrating about the anatomy of a scorpion to me while I was in the loo, so for that I give five stars. If this review makes you question if I’m on something I reckon you check it out yourself.
What a gem! Best place for happy hour.
