It was my first time and it was amazing. I loved the new indigenous displays! So well done. My only worry was the uniforms for the staff, it’s really hot outside and the material doesn’t seem breathable.. but maybe I’m totally wrong. Also the staff was present almost everywhere and interacted all the time, warned about any hazards as well. Great job.

Fantastic visit full of great history and knowledgeable interpreters to answer all your questions. Highly recommend taking a full day to explore what the Fort has to offer

Fort Edmonton is, without a doubt, the most captivating attraction I've visited in Canada. This living history museum truly transports you back in time, immersing you in the sights, sounds, and experiences of the past. The attention to detail is impressive, with staff dressed in period attire, enthusiastically engaging in re-enactments that bring the history to life. I had the pleasure of conversing with one of the staff members, who was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the history of the fort. Her insights and answers to our questions were thorough and fascinating, clearly reflecting her background in historical studies. The historic buildings, shops, and ranch areas are meticulously preserved and showcase the architectural styles of the era. The train ride was a highlight, offering a scenic and relaxing journey through the grounds. What struck me most was the way Fort Edmonton seamlessly blends entertainment and education, making history feel tangible and memorable. This place is a must-visit for anyone interested in exploring Canada's rich heritage. Fort Edmonton has truly done an outstanding job of preserving and sharing history in a way that will leave a lasting impression on visitors of all ages!

Expensive for the 7 hrs it's open. Very disappointing that the places you can get a coffee or baked goods start to shut down 90 minutes before the park closes. Not sure who runs the park but they need to re-evaluate. Been many years since I was there and will be many more before I go back, if ever.

Amazing place, great park and lots to see. My only problem was rude staffing in various areas of the park. As a respectful young person I was astonished at some behaviour in the mini fair of employees. Same with the big train to ride. Staff only care about children and entertaining them rather than anything else. Carousel carving was one of my favourites for customer service and interaction. What a great employee. The indigenous peoples experience was quite underwhelming, all of it being digital screens and reading, where as other aspects of the park have much more substance value and ideas put into them. As an indigenous person myself, it was underwhelming. There is definitely care put in to this exhibit but I believe the park can do better. The admission is quite expensive and the family pass is not a bargain for most families. The small fair is empty and lifeless, same with most of the historic buildings, Many being made into smaller spaces with only posters lining the walls. The food is aggressively overpriced inside the park (expected but just a warning to others). Overall, quite rude staffing peppered all over, overpriced but a beautiful park and experience if you’re bored and have nothing to do. You aren’t really missing out unless you care about white history. I do appreciate the different modes of transportation inside the park, making it more accessible to those with limited mobility who want to enjoy the entire park. Gift shop is full of things I wouldn’t even call souvenirs. Overpriced shirts, Children’s books, overpriced candy you can buy anywhere and a few local artisans I see at EVERY venue or gift shop. Maybe reach out to some more local artists, especially indigenous creators. TLDR: An okay experience, overpriced, rude staff surprises everywhere and lots of walking while looking at nothing.
