A delightful little course to play on or enjoy the beautiful views from the West Orange Trail!
Great course! Greens and fairways in awesome condition. Most of all, professional and welcoming staff!
Great place to play - conditions, staff and pace of play all outstanding. Enjoyed our day of golf and definitely will go back.
1st time at this course and it was great. Warm welcoming staff, fair rate for the range fees. With it being the winter the chipping and putting greens were in immaculate condition. Looking forward to return soon to play more golf.
I only go there for a gift card for my friend on his birthday and Christmas but I've had wonderful customer service I enjoy going there the gentleman that work in the Pro Shop are awesome
I have lived in central Florida for 18 years. Yesterday April 22nd was the first time I played Forest Lakes Golf Club. It is a very good layout; however, the course is in very poor condition. I played the blue tees and 16 of the 18 tee boxes were in awful shape and many were truly unplayable. The fairways need fertilizer and water. The areas around the greens are not in good condition and there are many bald spots with no grass. The rough is a cow pasture. The course needs some TLC and should be shut down for a week or two to let the tee boxes and grow out. The staff are wonderful and the course has great potential it simply needs a lot of work. BTW I shot a 90 and could have done better if manny of my shots that were in play were on grass and not hard pan. It is certainly not worth $59 to play. BTW the courses response was interesting. I played the blues. It’s also hard to be very complementary of the greens when you have very little or no grass to play a shot from on the fairway. I will again state the staff was very friendly and the course has great potential. It simply needs more TLC on the tee boxes, fairways and driving range. It’s not a $59.99 course. Maybe $39.99 or $49.99 Black Bear is only 20 minutes away and it was in excellent condition during this same time period.
Forest Lake is always in great shape! Even with heavy rain. It has always drain really well! Good practice facilities! The staff is the best around! From my groups perspective, they are very accommodating. Lots of good food options in the restaurant! Check them out!
Decent course, but I asked the person working here what time he’d be here working, and he said 4, so to be considerate I decided I was going to come before 4 and leave him a tip, but on hole 17 the leather faced bag boy told us that we were done for the day and couldn’t finish the round, even though he had 30 minutes left in his shift, honestly I’m Surprised this guy isn’t in hospice but I guess buddy is just a high functioning autistic man that goes home and watches his wife beat off another dude, such a sorry excuse of a man… but will not be back.
Always enjoy this course. The layout is great. Fairways and greens are a little long and dry, but that did but take away from the game. Lots of bunkers. They are in decent shape and not overly dense, so keep that in mind.
Always a good challenge at Forest Lake. The course is in good condition and the practice areas are excellent.
