Delicious original pasta dishes served by lovely staff. Deservedly popular.
Have been here a few times over the past 5 years and can say it’s always been consistent even as they’ve gained popularity. Highly recommend the Reginette and the beef short rib pappardelle. Warning - the truffle pasta is verrrry truffle-y and honestly put me off truffle for a while. The atmosphere is great and the service has always been good too. They also do gluten free pasta! I haven’t tried it but my gf friend highly recommends it.
Really delicious pasta apart from the toasted sandwich which was just ordinary. We had tortelloni, bucatini, carbonara and gigli. The carbonara was fantastic that we ordered another one! The tiramisu gelato is a must have! Although all the other desserts are amazing too. We arrived at 12.15pm on a Sunday and could grab a table for 5 without waiting.
The pasta and gelato are really good
I do not really know how to rate this place. So here is my honest review of this place as an "italian restaurant" first, then as a cocktail bar. This place can not be called an "italian restaurant" by offering a mediocre assortment of pasta, some of which are plain pasta with arrabiata sauce, others are solely powdered with cheese ... The taste is what you would expect from homemade pasta (which is a very nice) but unfortunately not enough to make it special. The portion size is in relation with the price, however, still shy of what one would consider enough for a meal. Let's now view it as a cocktail bar. The place has much more in common with a tapas bar, with sides and lots of drink choices, of which a few wines and 7 pages of cocktails. My rating for an "italian restaurant" would then be 2 stars and 4 would be my rating for the cocktail bar. Making it an average of 3 stars. I would like to add that the staff is polite, smiling and professional, especially Krzystina.
