Do not take bookings, do not need to as very busy. Lively and atmosphere. Food was ok, nothing special but solid grub. Anthony our server was charming and attentive. Would not go back, but that is personal preference.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Restaurant was VERY busy and the staff was running around. Everything took a while, and they made a few mistakes, so service was suffering. But the food was delicious. Kid-friendliness: No kid menu. Kids can basically get chicken quesadilla, or adult food.

After a walk on the beach we stopped in for tacos with our 10 month old. The Nopales tacos were an excellent vegetarian dish! The shrimp tacos were also really good. For the kiddo they had beans, rice, and avocado. The staff were very kind and helpful. We will be back!

We are in town for a wedding and had a few hours to burn before the festivities. We were walking around and were recommended by locals to check out Flor de Maiz. HOLY COW!! We are definitely coming back for this place. My husband actually said he wants to live here forever so you might find me here trying to extract him. Food was amazing - starting with the chips and salsa. Ask for 2 of the green, trust me you’ll want to swim in it. We split the Atun sellado. It was perfect. Every detail was perfect. The tuna sear was flavorful and the interior fresh, well cut, and highest quality with perfect texture. The cactus under gave a light tang and texture, and the potatoes and giant fresh grilled asparagus were basically heaven. You could dial in the spice with the quac aoili or the chili oil. But wait - there’s more!! The margaritas stole my heart. Try the tamarind chili margarita. Relax on the patio, watch the people go by while being spoiled by the incredible wait staff, top shelf tequila, and - one - more - basket of chips (with 2 green salsas). Trust me - this might wreck your marriage but it will certainly improve your life. Enjoy!

I grew up in the Bay Area, and this place served the best steak taco I’ve ever had in my entire life. Margarita was absolutely excellent. Great service (Gennaro was excellent). Located on the water. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!
