The young man at the register (a child) was very polite & professional. Could tell he (a child) works there alot. I had the beef egusi soup with pounded yam & the soup was disgusting. Specifically the meat. The meat was very very tough as if they had been cooking the same meat in the pot for a while and just adding more soup. I decided to order an egusi kit online and make it myself and it was DELICIOUS. I had been wanting to try the food for a while, and wanted to try the restaurant for a while. But I wasn't going to let that restaurant's soup deter me away from trying the proper soup. Their soup was just disgusting. It was also very stinky inside, but I pretty much assumed it would smell before I walked in because the food is foreign, & usually foreign restaurants have a smell, but this one was bad bad. Overall. I wish I had liked the food but I didn't. Only giving 1 star. Pretty pricey for it to taste the way it did. & the meat.
the portions get smaller and the price gets higher. paid 60$ for two tiny plates of eguisi with tiny balls of pounded yam and 2 very small containers of spicy gizzard. 60$ for 4 small items that are poor quality isnt fair.
I wanted to eat in, but they packed my food to go.
Was very disappointed. The goat meat was tough, like chewing rubber
I drove for 1 hour to sit down to order some food. The lady came with the food to go, I mentioned to her I wanted to dine in, but she just said sorry and walked away. I went to my car to eat. The food was bad.
Food was ok, overpriced and the quantity was very little, especially the soup it'll cost you additional $6.00 for a tea spoon full of soup to finish your meal. You buy your drinking water, no drinking water comes with the meal. To eat, you'll have to walk to the sink between the Restroom and the cash register to wash your hands. Service is non existent. Goodluck...as for me, never again !!
The food was alright, no mind-blowing flavors, but it came out nice and hot. The meat in the souo was a little tough and the serving was kinda small, but they did give ample fufu and it was up to my mothers standards. All it all, it was just okay.
I asked for dine-in, and the food was given to me to go. When I checked the food, the small cup of pepper soup was not even halfway for $13++, same for the okra soup. What kind of madness is that?
Took my friend from Nigeria to get some " home cooked " food. He loved it.
