Nice Irish pub. In contrast however to the Irish theme, they had a live DJ playing all kinds of hits that worked well. Black and tan was the special which I couldn't resist. Didn't eat but heard the oysters are good.
Don't recommend on a NYE night. Up charging entry cover on guys only...$40? When the whole Rosemont area was dying down by 1am on an NYE night which was pretty astonishing tbh. Of course the 2 girls in front literally just got in for free say where's the modern feminism??
Awesome service and great food.
I absolutely loved it! Our server was fine. Don't fire anyone, they were so busy, i think that we had several servers. We still tipped very well. Very awesome and cool restaurant. Great food. Atmosphere is so cool. Can't wait to go again!
I chose five roses pub for a girls reunion because it was in Rosemont/hotel area and it was the only restaurant I could find within reasonable distance that was NOT a chain. I can't swear that it's exactly locally owned, which is important to me...I went for it anyways. The food was great, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was just right for us. Polished pub. Do not miss the Bailey's Creme Brulee! The only reason I marked down service was that our table wasn't bussed after eating, and the neighboring tables were not bust after the parties left. That didn't stop us from lingering over coffee and conversation.
You know it’s a bad bar when the headliner at the neighboring Zanies does a bit about how terrible it is.... Anywho, I imagine it will be a matter of time until this place goes out of business. Went here for NYE ‘23 and it was really just an awful place in every aspect. My wife and I were Charged $55 each for admission tickets that they never checked b/c no one was going there, so they let everyone in. They ran out of several liquors and mixers by10pm. They had Law & Order on TV instead of any NYE event. Our whole side of the bar was unserved the majority of the night. Complete waste of money and time. Will never return and would not recommend.
