Arrived at 5:45 drinks and appetizers ordered dinner and left starving at 8pm
Went on a Saturday night. I ordered two appetizers which were never put in until we asked about them 45 minutes later and the response was “what appetizers?” The table ahead of us was complaining heavily and called for the manager 3 times. The table ahead of them were also complaining. The food was disappointing for the price. My boyfriend got the filet and lobster and ordered the filet rare. It had barely any pink and was charred heavily. He didn’t complain about it simply because I just wanted to eat and leave. The RAW oysters on half shell appetizer came out AFTER the main courses arrived so they gave them to us for free. They even switched our waitress out and when I asked why they did that she said we requested that, which I did not and gave her a tip anyway. We also still tipped the new server on top of the already added gratuity on the check. I only say this because we weren’t trying to get out of paying for food or service, it just really was that bad. Total we were there over 2 hours and will probably never return.
There was a live band on the evening we went and they played a plethora of songs (R&B). It was a nice surprise as I haven't been there in well over 10 years--- one tends to take these City attributes for granted when living within the limits. But the volume was too high for dinner time. So the server was unable to hear us, most of the time (it was hard to get an alcoholic drink menu, meal adjustments et c.) and it took a while to get through the meal, not that we were in a rush. There were still good vibes and good energy. We got there right on time for decent parking ($10 on a Friday night isn't bad) and a good table. I had crab stuffed mushrooms (too small) and the Fishbones roll-- really tasty. Parking: The lot is across the street charges at least $10 and metered street parking isn't free until 10 on Fridays/weekdays.
I love their seafood salad! In my experience, it's hard to go wrong with the menu selections. The food is consistently good at all locations. The service is the only thing that is not consistent, and it's usually NOT bad (it's a big deal to me, maybe not others).
The service was good. The calamari and bread were the only good food items that we received. The fish and chips were frozen, the quality was poor, the same quality that you'd get at a coney island, BUT they charge you $28!!! The quality of food does not match the prices that you are charged. I'll choose any restaurant in Greektown over Fishbone's in the future
By far the best experience ever great food even better waitress. Jacelle has very great personality and even better customer service skills even though we couldn't get our sushi lol she made sure my table was satisfied. Shout out to you young lady. The food was also amazing lamb chops was so juicy and tender and very flavorful I enjoy every bit of my meal thanks for the experience I look forward to revisiting soon. Stay blessed
