Fish by José Andrés

I have had the opportunity to dine at Fish by Jose Andres restaurant at Atlantis Hotel a few nights ago. The ambiance was beautiful; however, the experience was awful. Firstly, the food presentation was very basic and nothing like the pictures on their website. Secondly, the restaurant credit card machines were not working; therefore, we were not able to leave the restaurant until 45 minutes after dinner. Finally, I have ordered the Grouper with avocado entree and got food poisoning from the Grouper, which was a deal breaker for me. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Best food we have had in a long time.

My husband and I recently dined at Fish and were absolutely blown away by the food! Delectable is putting it mildly - our taste buds were positively dancing with joy! We split the shrimp cocktail appetizer, which, I have to admit, while tasty, wasn't much different than any other shrimp cocktail we've had before. But the main course? Totally different story! For dinner, I ordered the grouper with a side of asparagus, and my husband ordered the red snapper with their twice baked potato. The grouper I had was meaty and rich, and with its passion fruit brown butter sauce, utterly decadent. The delightful zip of the passion fruit played beautifully with toasted brown butter, leaving an unctuous mouth feel that made me just want to keep eating. The grilled asparagus paired nicely with its romesco sauce, and I appreciated the addition of some toasted almonds on top to give it some extra texture. My husband said his snapper was very good, and would be something that he'd order again. Which, for someone who doesn't like fish, is high praise indeed! But he positively raved about his twice baked potato, with its innards whipped to perfection and topped with what tasted like a sharp white cheddar. For the service itself, our server was attentive and pleasant. We did feel a little rushed when another patron rather loudly requested our table after we'd paid the cheque but were still finishing our drinks, however, I certainly don't hold the restaurant accountable for the rudeness of its guests, and appreciate that they told the patron to wait his turn in the bar. Price-wise, this was on the expensive side, however, I was more than happy to pay the price to get such a wonderful meal. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, and, further, I would consider returning, too! I'd give this 4.5 stars out of 5 if Google would let me.

Shorn and Bradley waited on us and were absolute gems. Views and atmosphere are unmatched. I ordered Jerk chicken and my husband got Maui mahi and couldn’t have been happier. The side dishes that came with both were *chefs kiss*. Would recommend!

This place is absolute garbage at almost $500 out the door for 3 people. My wife's snapper meal was solid raw in the center to the point that we are concerned we might get food poisoning tonight. Everything else was average at best. This place wouldn't survive in any city in the US. Whoever Jose is, he doesn't deserve a flat Michelin tire. I can't stress how much garbage this place is!

The only decent restaurant in The Atlantis !!fish was fresh and really tasty .. We spike with the chef, and he helped decide what to order since I have an allergy, and I really appreciated that !!!!Food was delicious and very quick service...excellent interior design. Well done to everybody

Everything was smooth and nice, as one would expect from such a restaurant. We especially enjoyed the desserts!

Best meal we have had at the resort! Get the oysters, mini lobster rolls, coconut drink, shrimp & grits, and octopus. All were wonderful. Dessert was good too - key lime pie with coconut sherbet or chocolate peanut tort. My husband loved the steak here way more than SeaFire. It’s about $125 per person before additional gratuity without any alcoholic drinks. Server and hostess were great. A month ago, I booked the wrong date thinking it was today and she still got us in.
