Firkin on the Bay

Super amazing view of Toronto and Lake Ontario. A must stop and visit during the summer and sit on the patio and have a cold drink. Friendly fast service with a good selection of pub food, highly recommend

I made a reservation for my birthday and it was terrible. My amazing guests payed for my bill and tipped twice because of the incompetence of my server. She did not inform my guest of the included gratuity and and when confronted she blamed it on us for not already being informed. She did not take any responsibility and made this experience not enjoyable. She was not attentive and was not personable. Train your staff properly. Michelle

The food was good but basic. The ambiance was great but our service was lacking. We had a party of 8 for a birthday and our server was less than accommodated. Our server did not go through any steps of service other than asking for drinks and food (bare minimum). We didn’t get offered water or any drink after finishing our cocktails before the food arrived and our food was delivered and no bite check. We paid and tipped with gratuity included without our knowledge and not being informed from our server. Typically would be happy to give server the tip but with this sub par service it was not warranted. I am very disappointed and poor communication from the staff makes this experience a 1/5 if that. Our birthday girl was very disappointed and it hindered on her day. Thanks to Michelle❤️ thank you so much for you horrendous service.

For some reason there is not a manager on site to be able to control the heat. I see everyone wearing their winter jackets inside. This is crazy. Such a bad experience. Wont be coming back. Taking my business to La Veccia

CURRENTLY WEARING PARKAS INSIDE. The temperature feels like -10 inside. Everyone has their jackets on. NO manager to be found. Servers cant control the temperature. This is inhumane. How can an establishment like this make their regular customers so uncomfortable. Hopefully someone from corporate sees this.

The food was good but I will not be returning due to the fact that our server (Michelle) decided she wasn’t going to inform us that she had already put an auto gratuity on our bills. Our server ended up getting almost a 40% tip from every single one of us. I am extremely happy to tip (as I am a server - 4 people in our group are) but not under these circumstances.

There was some minor confusion about having to tell them that we had a large group ahead of time and how much time is ahead of time. The server that was needed didn't show up until at least half an hour after we had arrived. That being said, they were cheerful and friendly and certainly did their best to address everyone's orders. Really nice location. Love the upstairs. Thank you for being kind and accommodating to us, especially where you were able to provide individual receipts to our group. This is greatly appreciated and will certainly be back again on our next hike!
